Thé 300 player limit per day isn’t making me want to attend.

The limited players is what is making me actually consider it. Was not a fan when I played it in 2009, with 1700 players on the field.

I always wanted to take in this game, not with quarantine though. Restrictions are funny...Manitoba has very few cases and we have limits of 100 while it's 300 in Ontario. Maybe next year.

On that tippmann challenge you also have entry Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No camping this year.

It used to be 1500+ players with a 45-60$ entrance fee.
          Cases was 150$.

With rains he had 2 or 3 years with 500-600 players with budget for the 1000+. So he changed and you pay less for a case and entrance than previously combined. You pay more if you wasn’t planning on buying a casez

150 vs. 150 sounds like a good compromise , less players to satisfy covid rules, and enough to still make it interesting. I'm signed up for Team Monster for the Sunday Aug 16th day two !

And I have 3 full weeks to figure out which old school guns to bring! :P

That's always been my impression the few times I've gone.

This year, with the limited numbers attending, looks promising. I'll be going on Day 2, as well.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I mean in early 2000s it was pretty good. Game, then beach in the evening.

And Sunday seems to a better choice over Saturday if you like final battles, as that is when the official Final Battle is scheduled. Last years final battle was just crazy action, and a ton of fun to be caught in the middle of, even though my team was on the receiving end! Here are a couple vids from big game last year at wasaga (not mine) that showcase final battle from both sides.

My Blue team is too slow to get into the middle town and our whole team gets pinned down behind the grassy knolls on the edge of town for the remainder of the game. Was still fun as hell trying to fight our way out of that pickle! What is that saying " Win together, fail as one! " ?

Red Team hustled and took the town immediately (Hey, their team had a nice paved road to run down ok! ) and held it and all the capture points for the whole game. I'm not visible in any of the vids, but I am setup leaning up on the grassy hill beside the white satellite dish you'll see in this video, and was able to get some angles on the guys in the town. Seemed to work until I was spotted with my head popping through the grass and I think 10 guys opened fire on my position.

It's final battle and red team is down 600 plus points. Time to take charge and regain control of the fuel depots.

I know some folks on here don't dig final battles, and some could take or leave it, but I loved it, all the non stop action was quite a rush.....

I don't know what the hell you whiners are complaining about, 1700 is too many, wah! The old Halo and Pirates big games I used to go to were the highlight of my season at 1100+.

As for COVID, it's real and a risk. That being said from what I've seen, the way they are operating on weekends at WBPB and the protocols they have in place go above what public health is recommending. Just be smart (which I know is hard for some, but hey, at least the boarder is still closed 😉), being in close contact with an infected person is the number one way to become infected yourself. Hopefully no one is dumb enough to show up feeling sick. Persoanlly, I know I'm going to have to play differntly. Now if I see a bunker with 4 or 5 of my teammates crammed behind it, I'm going to go somewhere else or another way rather than rush in to sling paint.

Don't agree with me? Then sign up for the monster hunters and cassh' me ousside! I'll be on the monster squard.

Ratzo, Jordan, Meleager7, we should connect before the game, from an acceptable physical distance of course.

Awesome! . For sure, we’ll figure out an MCB meet up spot at the park before we all go. Knowing your taste for old school guns, i think bringing my shocker 4x4 is in order for the morning! But what to bring for the afternoon....i can’t decide!

                    Cheers, Meleager7, Team Monster

yeah, in the Tango vid, that was a bit of a strange dynamic he had with his friends there, where they agreed to interrupt their fun to help load his mags. Who knows maybe he did the same for them in other games? I don't understand the decision to play mag fed among hopper players anyway, so maybe this is just a mag fed thing / courtesy / etiquette??

Well I am asked to work in Ottawa Thursday, Toronto Friday and Sunday. That leave Saturday to play. I’ll be easy to spot by my mcb jersey. Yea I know I wasn’t planning but work been postponed for 2month already and could have gone another 2 for that area.
