Oregon supergame (supergame west) may 5-7 sniperzden paintball St.Paul OR

Alright ladies and gents, it's 2023, time to start thinking ahead to the only thing worth planning for all year. Throw those birthdays off the calendar, court case? The judge can wait! There's paintball to be played!

    So, who's going?
    Arrival date?
camping or the hotel? If so where?
    Team?
    Extra camping/hotel space?
    Carpool available?
    ++++++++++++++++++++++
    For myself

Arrival date? Thursday the 4th, around noon typically
camping or the hotel? If so where? I31-32 and J31-32
    Team? Red /Bigfoot brigade
Extra camping/hotel space? Most likely yes, still getting a count for who is all going
Carpool available? I have guys coming from Tacoma South, if anyone needs a ride it will just depend on when but I think we could help out

    ++++++++++++++++++++++

For first timers, here's a few useful things to expect @Daltech

    1) bring earplugs for sleeping. Yes there are quiet hours but "quiet" means different things to different people and alcohol sometimes plays with the volume controls

    2) bring money/gear. There is a large swap meet. Lots of fun stuff. There are lots of cockers and pumps (phantoms are produced near by)

    3) bring a pump or mag feed if playing the Friday game. Pumps and mag feed score double points! Mo beads baby!

    4) buy raffle tickets. All the raffle money goes to charity, so even if you don't win you are doing some good

    5) hydrate on the field is a good idea. I've found a small camel back really helps but any option that gets you water is worth looking into

    6) pray for sun, pack for rain. Last year was terrible weather, ankle deep mud. Plan for that and hope for better (typically it's much better)

    7) ABOVE ground fires only. Your camp fire can not be ON the ground because of the tree roots in the orchard. Bring a suitable camp fire pit

Honestly this is one of the best organized games I've ever been to. Dan and his staff do an amazing job, thank the refs and staff. Hell, they will even deliver firewood to your camp site

So, who's going? - Myself and 2 others most likely.
    Arrival date? Thursday
camping or the hotel? If so where? Camping B21 + B22.
    Team? Red

Planning to bring.... V-Twin, First Strike "Mando" rifle, Tippmann X7 MP5SD, and a backup X7

As Turbo stated, PACK FOR RAIN AND MUD. Last year was crazy wet! Bring good boots and socks and be prepared for some soggy bottoms.

It's before the heat starts, and usually good weather. I've been almost every year for more than a decade, and last year was the only really bad one.

Yeah I agree to this, I think I'm on year 7. Last year was easily the worst weather

I think we might need to schedule a MCB meet up with how many people are going

Well I stand corrected, I had heard that most years had rain/mud. I definitely think a good "testing" day in late April would be a good idea to make sure everyone's guns are in order and things are ready to go. Maybe out at Impact? They are pretty central and usually an easy going bunch.

There have been brief light showers a few times, but nothing to make the mud we had last game.

Hoping to be there and hoping Autococker World is back. Will depend on a work trip and it getting scheduled. I have a 1 in 3 chance of it being a conflict. May the odds be ever in my favor...

So, who's going? My son and I are going, and we hope to convince some people we’ve been playing renegade woodsball with to join. My best friend from high school just caught the paintslinger bug and will probably be there.
          Arrival date? I’m local.
Camping or the hotel? If so where? I live about 30 min away. Warm bed and shower each night for me.
Team? Red army. Will try to scrape together a ragtag crew and name ourselves something appropriately unscary.
Extra camping/hotel space? Lemme talk to the boss. I have almost 1/2 acre and she might be ok with hosting campers if I ask just right.
Carpool available? Yeah, if peeps are cool riding in a light blue minivan with peeling paint. It’s a tank in disguise, really 😉

Is this so good that it’s worth driving 12hrs for? Never done a scenario game like this and don’t have many in my area.

Yes. I drove 30 hours to do Oklahoma d day.

              Supergame is better

I would say supergame is a big game. There's not really a scenario to it. Each game is a little different but there's no plot or story. Just straight up red team vs blue team.

But it is for sure an experience, great vendors, very well managed game, nice people, awesome camping

Oh okay cool! I’ve done local “big game” days before, and sometimes they incorporate different rules/game plays to help keep things interactive through out the day, like respawns, king of the hill and stuff, guessing this the same thing? Or is just straight up elimination game after game? Also, are only some types of guns allowed in certain matches (like mech only one game, pump the other etc) or is just play with whatever you want?

The game formats and rules are all listed on the website. SuperGame.tv

Their site, supergame dot tv, has a lot of info....

I went 5-years in a row, it was a 7-hour drive for me.....

One year of hot weather, one year of overcast but dry, three years of rain. The nights can be cold, so plan accordingly if tent camping.

                  Ok so

First off, there's actually 3 teams. Red blue and renegade (yellow) the renegades can't win, their whole purpose is to balance the game. If red team is getting run over, renegades join red to try and balance the game. For the most part it works well

Field is 70 acres if I remember right

Respawns at any of your teams flag stations as long as the station is not under fire. And each team has a permanent spawn station next to their field entrance that can't be taken away

Friday, spoils of war (used to be Sunday, hence the name) . There's only a few flag bases on the field. Your objective is to get your flag up, once that happens you have 60 seconds to get as many of your players into the base as you can. After 60 seconds, the base is called neutral by the refs. No players in or out, no shooting in or out. Refs then hand out Mardi gras beads to everyone in the base. Beads=points. Here's the really cool thing though. If you are using a pump or mag feed marker you score DOUBLE points, so 2 sets of beads every time you capture a base. At the end of the game, turn your beads in at the vendor village and get raffle tickets in exchange. So not only is it a cool format but you actually have a chance of winning some gear

Friday night there is a night game in the DMZ and surrounding woods, the DMZ is lit with some flood lights, so it's low light not no light, woods, not so much

Saturday, supergame. There's something like 6 or 7 flag stations on the field but only 1 is scoring each hour so the firefights move around a lot. Your team can capture the non-scoring stations to then be used as spawn points

Game break 1 hour , refill pods, call your wife and tell her your "business trip" is really stressful

Saturday final battle. 1 hour game but cram all 1800 players into about 3 acres of the DMZ. Urban chaos is how I would describe it. Easily my favorite part of the weekend. I go through a case of paint in just this game

Sunday, domination. Honestly I don't know much about this one because we have not started for it the last few years. Everyone has jobs to get back to

Domination is fun. There is a flag in each of the 7 bases, and the team (red or blue) with their flag up at each interval (3min IIRC) gets points towards the team’s weekend-long point total. This goes from 10-1:30, then a half hour break. 2-2:30 it’s all down to the DMZ again, and there are points given our each minute for holding the one base. Again lots of paint is spent here.

After that, there are final drawings and giveaways, the team that won the most points over the whole wkd is announced, and everyone goes home multicolored and happy. I think things wrapped up around 4 or 4:30 on Sunday.

This is only a 5 hour drive for me, so relatively close! One day I’ll make it out to one these massive games as it seems like it would be a ton of fun. Just at the point in life where any spare time is at a premium.

In making a deal with TarntKarntington I saw that he was from WA. Tagging him so he can follow along with planning!

I've put in my notification at work that I will be taking that Friday off to be able to enjoy the "full" experience of Supergame this year, rather than just a single day. Looking forward to it!

Come down Thursday and camp with me!

Thursday is where it's at if you ask me. No lines, you can chill in camp and get in the vendors first

Oh I'll be driving down Thursday afternoon. Its a pretty short drive for me, and I WFH that day so I can spend the last few hours packing before finally kicking work to the curb.

It's my first time going to this super game so I'm trying to get the full experience. Pumping it up with the phantom all weekend.

Arrival date: I can probably be down Thursday after work as I live in Portland
camping or the hotel? If so where: Sleeping in the car in case it's rainy, maybe with Trbo323 ???
                      Team: Red
Carpool available: I'm not far from the game but if someone needed a ride just ask.
