I put together a mag out of spare parts but lacked a foregrip, so I made one! Thought some of you might find this useful.
It is just some top and bottom caps I drew up to create a simple and light foregrip for the classic rail (locates and cups the angled base of the rail like the VASA does). It feels strong enough to survive long-term use. I glued the carbon fiber tube to the 3D printed parts. I used PETG for the print (UV resistance, water resistance, strength) and CA glue to attach them. The 1/4-20 thread is drawn tight, it threads together but the bolt is not loose while threading in.
I used a carbon fiber tube with a 25mm OD and a 23mm ID that i purchase for another project from Amazon. The piece shown is a piece 3-5/8" long to yield a grip that is flush with most standard grip frames (it is slightly taller than the classic frame in the photos). $20 Worth of carbon fiber tube will yield about 8 of these to outfit your fleet of loaner AGD classic railed markers.
3D files are available on Printables at Automag Classic Rail Lightweight Foregrip Pieces if anyone is interested (i tried attaching them here, but those file types are a no-go).
