I have three new potential products here. First is the 'M80 grip frame' same width as the AGD classic carbon fiber frame 1/2 inch. It uses my Intelli type single trigger with magnetic return. It's designed specifically for 45 ACP grip panels, I will not be making panels myself. This is a mechanical ONLY frame..... Project would also include my new 'Hybrid Extreme Rail' not an h2, thickness/height matches a classic Automag rail, main diameter is 1/2 wide to match the grip frame exactly. ULE milled and uses the RT sear.... Carbon fiber foregrip is similar to the others I offer, aluminum parts should come in at least 1/2 the weight as my others, ULE milled, though minor it all adds up. Angled and straight would be available........... Please ignore the sharp edges everything will of course come with chamfers and fillets to smooth everything over.
Testing the waters

I like the rail and foregrip. I personally don't like thin frames so the frame probably isn't for me. I can use a AGD cf frame because the grips on those are thick. Maybe I could find some thicker 45 panelsRed One-
I haven't decided if this will be sold A la carte or not. It wont be a huge run parts and I dont want to be stuck with misc parts that dont fit anything else. But who knows at this point, I'm just testing the waters to see if there's interest. Some of the ACP panels are fairly thick though. Or maybe do a preorder so I can get the numbers right, not sure right now...Last edited by LukeAO; 01-16-2026, 10:40 PM.

Another thought is I could design a set of panels that would mimic the classic and someone could print them(?)Comment

That would probably work out well. People can either order them or print them themselves and use either hard plastic, polyurethane, or even wood. That would be pretty sweet. -
Who prints in wood? That would be pretty sweet. -
There is a plastic 3D printing filament that is loaded with wood fibers to create a wood-like "feel" and "finish" (think hardboard / compressed particle board). It has to be painted or stained with a grain appearance to really achieve the wood appearance but it feels more like wood than straight plastic. Interesting. But not real wood.

Pretty sexy man. That frame would look real good on the new body you were showing off. Which I still want...Comment

I dont know, the M90 grip frame is 1/2" wide without grips and the D3 main body and rail is 1.19" without detents.
I think this combo looks better with a standard 3/4" thick MP90 grip frame.
Really the ULE, XMT, Automag or Minimag bodies were the design consideration for these parts.
I like the MP90s with the D3 much more

Oooo that does look good thanks for posting that assembly helps me better picture it for if you do release those bodies and rails as a kit.Comment

I would be interested. It would depend on the price point as a full lower set up. Im getting ready to throw another mag together, maybe I will have another parts option?Last edited by CatFarmers; 01-23-2026, 04:30 PM.Comment

I like the idea a lot, especially if original AGD wrap-around grips will fit well (or PMI, VL, etc. wrap-arounds).

After a quick search it looks like PMI and VL wrap arounds are for standard 3/4" thick grip frame's the M80 is 0.480" thick.
The M80 is designed specifically around and for 45 ACP grip panels, that's how we ended up with the 80* frame.
The AGD frame is just a completely different shape, the grips would never fit. They would have to be turned at an angle which in itself would be okay, but they would just never work.

Dig it...the little window by the trigger is cool and have been kind of liking the thin grips after slapping a meteor on one of my classics cause despite carbon grips being able to hold a car and all that I just can't get over the fact it's plastic. Nice clean lines.Comment
