    New Build, Opinions Wanted

    Hey guys,

Just picked up a pre-2k RF (completely stock), and I want to make her a small resto-mod sleeper-ish build. I've ordered shocktech pneus and trigger plate, but am stuck in a bit of a creative snag. While the pneus are gloss black, I'm torn in how I want to go forward. I'm thinking about going dust/matte black as much as I can (HPR, barrel, delrin bolt, etc). I can find some dust black AKA stuff and GOG makes dust black freaks as well. I can always try to get one of those black oxide kits for the stainless bits too, but not sure if anyone has a recommendation for that or not. Option B is to play with more gloss black (dust front and gloss back on freak, gloss HPR, bolt and cocking knob). I just feel the gloss black is done more, and mostly matte black would be a little cooler but more involved. Luckily no rush, but just wanted your $.02!

IMO the frame should match the body, front block, and back block. Then all the rest of the details like the bolt, cocking rod, and trigger shoe would be gloss black. Barrel could be a gloss black back with a dust black tip.

Frame is the factory carbon fiber/composite and matches the body/blocks well. The thought of a mostly matte gun is appealing, but the level of detail/available parts would require a little more effort... Just torn

Inception does a lot of dust/gloss black: https://www.inceptiondesigns.com/RET...b-ac-mb-45.htm

Kinda where I was getting a little inspiration actually!

2k stock brass 3-way and ram. They look period correct and work great. Plus what old build doesn't need a touch of brass on it.
    Velcor will save us...

Already have the full set of Shocktech pneus on the way, and will reuse the stock front block...maybe I'm a weird one for not ever liking the brass look

If you put a shroud on your pneus then you can still have a true restomod/sleeper while still having good modern parts. I'm also a sucker for the looks of a single hole frame, but it's your call.

As far as gloss vs matte, gloss is obviously easier to wipe off, but it also shows dirt and scratches more easily than matte.

I did plan on grabbing one of those Ginger Dynamics neoprene covers in either all black or tigerstripe
