Noticed that CCM internals are always recommended for pumps but are they also good for autocockers?

Reduced friction in a hole is always a good thing (hammer)
you can also polish your stock hammer
CCM valve is a good choice but there are many other good valve option if you dont find the CCM version -
I picked up an ID valve for my current build and really like it. The original vale was being fussy so I thought why not upgrade?! Put it in with the recommended ID springs and was perfect.Comment

Regardless of how polished their hammers are that's not the selling point. Most good lower tube kits have good surface finish on the hammer.
CCM internals are just the lowest pressure, best balanced, quietest shooting, and easiest to set up. You can get AKA valves to as low a pressure as CCM and the AKA will be more efficient but will require a lot more tuning and messing with. CCM's valve is a bit of a gas hog compared to other autococker valves but not too bad and it's crazy quiet and very consistent.
I don't have any experience with the Inception valve but most of their stuff is pretty good. For the price I think CCM is the way to go for autococker internals.Comment

Well made, well balanced. Might have full kits available if you contact them directly, they like to leave things shown as "out of stock" in their site. Up to you if it's worth it. I tend to stick with stock WGP hammer and valve, with better springs.Comment

Ok that's just nonsense. CCM lower tube kits usually sweetspot at ~300 PSI. A stock valve with the right springs will go lower pressure than that. Shocktech valves will go lower than that. AKA will go MUCH lower than that.Originally posted by gabe View Post

CCM is used quite frequently for cockers, simply for the fact that they're easy to set up. Throw the whole CCM lower tube kit in, set your reg to 300 PSI, and you'll bein the ballpark. You'll definitely get better performance (lower pressure, better efficiency) from most any other valve, but they usually require more tuning.Comment

I don't have an inline gauge to check pressures but having run stock valves, AKA, and CCM I can tell you that the adjuster on my Sidewinder reg is just under flush with the bottom of the reg which equates to about 250psi. I'm sure you can go lower if you really play around with setups but the AKA tornado valve has run higher than 250 in two different guns for me. Using the same reg the adjuster screw was about 1/16" above flush which is closer to 300psi or more. This probably has to do with the awful springs AKA sells for their lower tube "kit". I can't say enough awful things about my experience trying to get an AKA tornado valve to work. Finally dumped it and went CCM and have been very happy.
Now I'm back at it trying to get a tornado valve to work in an STO build I'm doing and frustrated again. Might go Freeflow this time around.Comment

Lowest PSI for me was with a shocktech aluminum version on an AIM 17 body 190psi @285fps. Yet my Meteor feather v2 sits at 350psi @285fps and I can't tell the difference between the two. maybe it doesn't matter if its all balanced out?Comment
