    Wgp 98 sto

I got a 98 STO, it has 2k grips, and a 2k reg. What was the original grip on this marker? Was it a pot metal single screw slider frame? Or Benchmark? What was the original reg? I have two ideas, one is to make this back to factory stock for nostalgia, the second idea is to Shocktech it all out.

    What say you?

Pot metal single hole slide with VIew loader "45" grips

      Your reg is correct.

You are however missing the camo shroud

My understanding is that by 1998 all the single-screw frames WGP was shipping out were carbon composite.

Could be the case if this is a true 98 sto.... It would say 98 in the engraving. They were a mixed bag one year transition gun.

Yes blue is stock.... You could order them in red or blue

Yes. I've read they offered both red and blue as options but most people went with red.

As it sits now. I grabbed an old slider frame.

Would you mind doing me a favor and taking a picture of the bolt? I want to find one just like that for mine.

Thank you kindly, that is quite pretty and confirms I definitely don't already have one like that laying around.

Took apart everything. New 3 way orings. New LPR orings, new HPR or rings. Timed, tuned, I guessed on the sweet spot and have it hitting 287 straight off the work bench. Wow. They sure don’t make them like this anymore. The timing took a little bit to think about because the 3 way arm is not threaded. I got it. Finicky leaky little effer those old 3 ways are. I’m planning to keep this stock and old school. Heavy, but solid.

I had the shroud but sold it like a dork, but the guy who bought it needed it for an OG STO BUILD.

So I feel good to help another PB friend out with finishing a dream build
