    Winter Project

Been a while since I've built a cocker. Alot has changed to say the least. I had some parts lying around and rather than build another pieced together RF, I decided to try something different.....

Now will this ANS trigger plate have enough travel? The frame seems to narrow by the trigger return spring otherwise I could use the AKA plate. Hmmmm....

That's what I figured was going on. Other than the detent it looks spot on.

You're going to need more trigger travel than that.

Ok, so I bought Inception Designs pnues. The Timing for is too big for the AKA plate. I have another coming from ACP. Figuring I have to drill out the plate. Thoughts?

PCT did the anodizing. Beautiful body except for the machining flaw from the original build back in 98. Just after the front block, left hand side. Was under original anodizing. The machinING was done by Staunchy Customs last spring. I'm so happy how this turned out. If I can make this pot metal slider frame work, that'd be the icing!

Wound up going with an ACP Pre-98 plate and a new Shocktech roller sear. Time to install the internals. Any suggestions on valve-hammer spring combo? I have a Palmer's valve with spring and Shocktech brass hammer. Also have ST spring set.

No experience with the Palmers valve, but a few of my Cocker's have/had Phat hammers and the stock valve. Green Maddmann hammer springs and red valve springs has been the ticket for great efficiency and lower resistance to the ram moving back.

Good to know. I actually have a new Maddmann spring kit. I used the stock spring that came with valve and ST spring for hammer. If that doesn't work, I'll try the Maddmann springs.

Short, crisp trigger pull with the Shocktech roller sear installed. AKA Sidewinder and CCM on/off added. Waiting on Bomb, SCM3, beavertail and TJD ram to air this up.
