if you just got the falcon I think you did, give it a once or twice over before you start messing with it too much, it may already have some other modifications to it

Thanks, one of those Canadian ones has come to me. I'll have to try the Oring trick and see if that fixes the issue.

You wouldn't happen to know want of the serial numbers of those or who sent them in would you?

Yes, I know he was sent a few for him to fix them but haven't heard that anyone has gotten one back yet.

To my knowledge, Josh took 4-5 Falcons back for repairs, but they were never returned.

The AT thing could probably be fixed with parts with proper heat treat in the carrier/sear interface.

The Falcon was meant to be a better version of the Sterling and had a lot of promise. The prototype was beautiful and worked well when Josh brought it to EMR to show off.

As the Falcon was going into it's final phases of development and going into production Josh started working on another project. A modern 45 frame for old Nelsons. This project suffered from enough creep to turn into the R7 which received much more excitement and attention. Josh refocused all his attention to the R7 and the parts/accessories for that.

The Falcon was forgotten except for those that already had one and no support was offered by Josh on them from that point to the best of my knowledge.

There were 10 AV1 Falcons produced, plus the original prototype Josh milled out of a cocker body. Of those 10, I believe 5 or so were sent back to Josh for repairs and were never returned. Four of the remaining 5 are in Canada, with the serial-less one being the only one in the states (as far as I know).

As far as functionality goes... they have an autotrigger bug. I'm not sure if it was a tolerance issue or a wear issue, but eventually they all autotrigger without pulling trigger. I came up with a band aid fix on mine, where I put some o-rings on the pump arms between the body and the back block, which prevented the pump from returning all the way. As long as the pump handle wasn't returned with gusto it worked pretty well. Played a pump tournament with it. Lost handily.

They're really cool guns, obviously exceptionally rare. I kinda miss mine, but I never really play pump anymore. Didn't make sense to keep it.

    started a topic Falcon?

    Falcon?

Unfortunately a lot of information seems to be lost or corrupted in the way back machine when I look, also. For those looking in the future who may not even know what it is...

Can anybody share any information they have on them?
Number produced? Functionality? Want to try and crowd source some information on these rare birds
Working...
