    Thinking about getting a KP3

    Couple questions.
Do other 45 grips or panels work on these frames?
Is the TechT Hush bolt worth it?
Are the regs decent enough or should I plan on replacing?
Any other tips or words of wisdom?

    - It's a std 45 frame
    - never used one but doubt it, stock bolt flow is more than fine and plenty gentle on fragile paint
    - i don't care for the reg seat design, it is fragile and extremely soft. replacements are only sold as an assembly that includes brass velocity adjuster at 15 bucks a pop. The seat can be damaged by turning reg pressure down while marker is gassed up. Performance isn't anything to write home about.

I replaced the on/off asa on mine, it was getting too crabby/leaky when running CO2. Also replaced reg and threw on a hitman plate.

The pump stroke has some slop even though it is dual rod, since the rods don't have guides and the "sled" is just a back block. Guy on ebay 3d prints a part you can put under sled to clean up most of the loose play.

Thanks for the info! Found an unused one for a really good price. Always been interested in these. Good to know about that sled too. If I snag this one I'll probably just swap out the reg and ASA right away.

Azodin makes some decent pumps considering the price but if you plan on really getting into pump play I would recommend a sniper at the least. I just saw one for sale here right around the 200$ mark. I got mine for like 250$. They are great pumps if you ask me. Nothing wrong with the used market.

Upgraded bolts are largely snake oil, the regs have been fine for me.

Sniper/cocker/kp3 are all sheridan based designs. There are used cockers out there for a good price but they will be heavier, not have clamping feednecks, and run at higher pressure. KP3 runs < 250psi, cheaper cockers in the KP3 price range will need upgrades to match that. The KP3 valve is actually a pretty clever design, it also has a hammer bumper to really reduce recoil. Fires very smooth.

Where you will notice differences are in fit/finish. KP3 anno a little thin, part colors may not exactly match depending on color. The purple on mine is very inconsistent.

I know that the QC for an overseas marker like this won't be quite the same as other markers. I have shot many custom built snipers, CCM's, Phantoms, etc but have yet to try one of these. Not practical for me to own some super rare fancy markers at this time, so that's why the KP3 stands out.
The ASA on these seem meh, so I may just use a duckbill I have laying around to be extra cheap. Also read reviews on the Stryker Custom "sled" and seems to work wonders.

Also question about the detents, looks like it uses two rubber spyder style detents. Do these do a good job of preventing rollouts?

Detents are purely to prevent double feeds. Like all closed bolt markers roll outs are controlled by paint and barrel matching.

What Tinybear said. When I had a KP3 I used Freedummy detents w/ the stock barrel, but cocker threading gives you plenty of options. The detents are spyder/nubbin style.
