2k2 Info?

I'm getting my hands on a 2k2 Timmy tomorrow, but know very little about them. I've shot plenty of poppits but nothing with a ram sleeve.

Anyone have links to manuals, info on boards, stuff like that? Probably as good a time as any to rebuild the MCB archives.

Oh, and since I'm an MCB member... what are these worth anymore? I give it six months until it gets exchanged for something else. Only the Phantom stays.

First and foremost - do not over tighten the front frame screw, or you might puncture the body. In fact - check that the first thing you do, as well as check the length of the screw, getting a shorter one if necessary. Next - be very, very careful to avoid cutting the eye cables when putting the Timmy back together after disassembly. Note that I didn't say "to avoid pinching the cables" - you will pinch them. Just try to not cut them. Internal space for cables was something of an afterthought, or so it seems when you service a Timmy.

It is very easy to find manuals for Timmys online. pbmanuals.com has got a lot of them, including for the 2K2 Timmy. However, the instructions for the board might not be exactly for your board, even if you've got a stock board. It was quite popular to flash the boards back in the day. It is still pretty easy to find out what board, with a combination of checking out numbers printed on the board, as well as noting the messages/numbers that flash by, as you turn on the board/Timmy.

It is also quite likely that there might be after market internals, LPR, etc etc in your Timmy. Getting an adjustable ram cap was popular to do as an immediate upgrade on a brand new 2K2 Timmy.

Finally I would like to add that the price also depends on what milling. Some of them are more sought after, and for the 2K2 Timmy, the Dragon milling is probably the one that is most popular to this day, and is usually priced higher. $150 would be considered quite a good deal for a Dragon. I'd say that they probably sell for a bit more, up to $250 for a stock Dragon in good shape.

Picked it up, navy dust fade with silver accents, a volumizer behind the LPR, a Sidewinder set to 85psi, Shocktech bolt, Hybrid ram cap, Equalizer 2.6 firmware (WAS?) and shot right out of the box with a reball. (Any way to force the eyes off on these?)

Removing a grip, I saw this. The seller mentioned that he purchased from a pro up north a while ago. Anyone recognize the name?

If a reball is in the breach, it should fire with the eyes on, right? So no need to turn the eyes off for that part, or was it just a general question?
In any case, yes, it is possible to turn off the eyes on the WAS Equalizer boards, or at least I believe that was the case for all versions/firmware. The menu accessible with the two buttons flanking the display, should be fairly intuitive. Also, you can find several manuals for Intimidators (and others) at https://pbmanuals.com/

I can't remember what firmware I have on my Equalizer - I'm at work at the moment - but the menus and functions were pretty much like in the manual at https://pbmanuals.com/.

Reviving a thread - Might have found a barn find timmy that needs some repairs. Looks like a 2k2, but I don't recognize the gripframe. Not hijacking said thread, just pinging in for my own information later. Decided "You know what, I want an old timmy again."
