    Stingray Recock?

I recently drilled out the centre of the Stingray's valve stem where the 3 holes come together, and upon reassembly, it doesn't want to recock.

It's holding air, I tried replacing and oiling the hammer oring, shimming the mainspring (which made it worse) and both the sear and hammer are good. I'm guessing it was the valve mod, because it was working flawlessly the last time I used it (6+ months ago).

    Any suggestions?

What do you mean by "drilled out"?
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

Where the 3 holes on the sealing surface of the valve stem meet inside it, I took a drill, and expanded that opening inside.

Opening up the front of the powertube/valve stem thingy shouldn't affect the recocking operation.

I have opened up all three holes, and the tube itself, without it negatively affecting recocking.

But, if yours isn't recocking, maybe try grind some channels in the rear section of the stem... to hopefully direct more blowback gas to vent rearward towards the striker.

Also try a lighter valve spring. (if you got a spare you can trim it a bit shorter) It will let the valve stay open a bit longer which can increase recock force. This will also up the velocity a bit, so you'll have to choke it down a bit (which will also increase recock force). Or maybe lower pressure, but that will decrease recock force.
