    Barrel Anno Wear

Just curious if there is a way to protect the barrel anodizing from wear, with the wrap-around pump handle. Maybe a thin coat of clear nail polish or something?

That will not wear the barrel in any way. Every Phantom I’ve owned since 90 has the same finish from day 1.

Yup key is keeping it clean.

As NONOBLITUS says it really is not a big concern. That is if you keep it clean and don't let abrasive material get in between pump and barrel. Just basic cleaning will do and you can add some car wax occasionally to the outside of your barrel for a little added protection. The killer is getting sand or like imbedded into the inside of the pump handle. If you keep is clean you should not have a problem.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. I'm sure the light coat of wax helps them stay nice and slick too.

Maybe I'm thinking about the older pump guns with wear, like the aluminum handles on the Line SI's and such.

      Thanks!

Be care with wax. It may trap dirt in there and make it extra gritty.

Clear low friction tape works well if you are really worried about it.

I have seen this done you need to find the real thin stuff tho.
