I'm picking up the spring set from Xtreme Velocity.

I'll tinker with it the next time I go to the field in October.

I believe most, if not all, of my Phantoms that I've run on HPA have been able to run the stock silver mainspring. I think that's mainly because l made sure that the regulator on the tank had a high enough output pressure, usually somewhere between 850-950psi. I've even had to turn the TPC out to bring velocity down when using HPA. If your tank is down under 800 you'll either need to really turn in the TPC or switch to the red spring.

Careful Not to got to far in on the TPC if you turn it in to far you will get velocity fluctuations because the TPC will move around on you if it’s in to far.

TPC 1.5 -2 turns in from flush. Stock silver springs and a HPA tank with an output of at least 800PSI and you should be super close on both HPA and 12G with a good fitting paint to bore match.

Also a good idea to invest in one of the 9ci or 10ci HPA tanks they fall under the 2” rule (lifetime hydro) they come preset to 800psi and are good for over 150shots on a hot fill. Plenty for a stick fed phantom. Tippman makes a nice one now it’s perfect for the phantom. I use mine all the time when it gets to cold for 12g. It’s super convenient having the ability to just spin off the bucket changer and screw in a tank and go.

Yeah mine is usually close enough that I don’t even bother adjusting it most of the time. My bottle puts out approx 825psi and it’s around a 10fps difference between HPA and 12g.

I've enjoyed having my 9ci. Doesn't take up almost any room in the gearbag and if something happens where I don't want to use 12grams? Just unscrew the bucket and away I go. I swapped a First Strike/Myth regulator on mine purely to shorten it a little bit, and it hasn't been problematic so far.

Most places offer free HPA with entry so it’s actually cheaper to shoot that way to. I keep it in the bag for cold days to save my 12g for SC and Outlaw play.

My phantoms are my go to markers, I use them every week. It is only on rare occasions that I pull out and use my MG100. Phantom is the way!

My SC Phantom has been my most used gun for the last couple years. Comes out to the field with me every single time.

Just used mine again this weekend. The fact you can run a back bottle into the valve makes this marker unique. Too bad mags didn't have that setup.

My VSC Phantom has been my daily for the passed 7 years. I've tried to play with a semi a couple times.... got bored, and went back to the Phantom.

Just showed a friend the Phantom and wonder why this marker wasn't more popular as a field.gun?

It runs as light as possible with 12 grams, takes both CO2 and compressed air without seizing up, has minimal maintenance and is highly customizable, with open class and stock class configurations.

I can't believe these weren't the standard field marker at more locations.

I honestly believe it’s because in an OC configuration The Phantom for a lot of people just doesn’t “feel” right. I attribute this to the pump stroke. In SC form this is much more forgiving. I assume because when you’re in SC mode, the “default” is a slower ROF.
