    Thunder cat bottom line Question?

Just got my first cat and I’m looking forward to using it in the spring. Mine came without a bottom line and the grip frame just has a rectangular hole where the mounting screws on a piranha would normally be. Is there a different grip I can buy that would be set up for a bottom line?

It sounds like you have a Lone Star or Eurogrip AR grip on there. There are bottomline kits made for both of these grips. Or you can get a .45 AR grip that's made specifically for paintball that will have standard bottomline spacing.

Either one of these should work?

This looks to be off a Spyder? Or maybe some other type of generic AR grip. The bottom adapter you showed won't work because it mounts using the pin for the trap door of a Lone Star grip. The top one may work since it clamps the grip to the frame but I'm not sure if the size/shape is correct.

You can go with a 45 frame

Thanks! For the price that appears to be my best option

I've successfully used those on a few cats. They work well.

If your grip says "lonestar" on it, the top one should work for you. It slides up inside the grip and screws in where the grip currently is attached.

This is from Bacci paintball. This should be the right one?

The Taso Ramline Grip Asa Mount ( https://www.baccipaintball.com/air1605.html ) and the phantom 45 frame are both good options, depending on what you prefer. The Spyder M16 grip block should work as well, but the problem with those is the ASA mounting holes are specific to the spyder-style ASAs (offset mounting holes). A couple of other things to keep in mind:
                - the Taso grip adapters use the older 1.25" spacing for mounting holes... you can either find a duckbill ASA that uses the same spacing or modify a rail mount with a new hole.
                - the phantom 45 grip frame has a slightly shallower depth when it mounts to the receiver mounting block, the end result being that it does not sit flush to the receiver. It is fairly easy to grind down the mounting block a small amount on the receiver to get a flush fit.
I have two cats and I have one with the Taso adapter and one with the phantom grip, both solutions work well. The Taso lonestar adapter is probably the easiest route, especially if you grab a duckbill ASA with the right spacing. I can post up some pics if you like.

I have both the CCI and a Euro grip on my Cats.

                Prefer the CCI 45.
