    Loose 'Cat Safety

The safety on my Alley Cat is pretty loose and when I play it can sometimes get flicked on. Then when I try to disengage the safety after pulling the trigger with it on, it becomes very difficult to push. Is this common with ICD 'cats? The fact it engages during the game isn't a huge bother to me but how difficult it is to disengage the safety is.

Did the ball bearing/spring fall out? Going from memory, they insert into the frame from the top and are only held in by a little bit of aluminum swaged over the edge of the hole.

I don't think so. The safety feels very clicky, it just is easily engaged/disengaged. Like I said, that's not a huge issue to me, just the fact that if I do flick it on and try to pull the trigger in game it is very difficult to disengage.

See if you can add a 2nd bb on top of the original one to increase the spring pressure.

So I fixed the safety sticking on this when the trigger is pulled on safe. One of the walls on the leftmost turned detent notch for the safety was too high/steep. I threw the safety in a drill chuck and hit the interior wall of the left detent notch with some Emery cloth while it spun. Works great now!
