    'Cat De-Modernization :)

I saw the HPA modding thread and that is very cool, don't get me wrong!

But if you want to travel back in time, and get these ICD 'cat guns running on Co2 , Liquid Co2 is absolutely brilliant !

I had the Alleycat Deluxe shown below shipped to me a couple weeks ago, and I actually did do a quick test with HPA, and it wasn't cycling as expected.

So I decided to focus on a CO2 setup, and I am at this point decided that if a gun needs CO2 to run reliably, then Liquid is the only way to go !

I had Siphon Tanks ready to go that I had put together by Dr. J ( near new 12 oz, 20 oz tanks with scavenged siphons kits pulled from expired 7oz siphon bottles)

In the original pic, you see the ANS ex chamber, which I obviously deleted, because we don't want any of my precious liquid expanding until the valve opens, and the liquid flashes back into a gas !

I just put a ASA reducer with a QD nipple, and ran the QD braided line right to the ASA for the shortest path.

With not very much tuning, I had the Alleycat shooting stable around 280fps with these settings:

    - Recock Set Screw - Turned all the way in
    - Velocity Set Screw - Turned all the way out, flush with the 'cat body
    - RVA - approx. 2.5 turns in
    - Freak barrel with .682 insert

I ran the Alleycat at a "No Batteries Game " last weekend , thus only mech guns, gravity hoppers at a field in Pickering, Ontario, Canada in approx. 3 to 4 degrees Celcius weather.

The Alleycat was my best performing gun of the day, velocity was super consistent. I think the Freak barrel helped too with consistency and handling the terrible, octogon shaped paint they were selling. No broken paint which was surprising considering the crappy paint.

It was pretty efficient too for co2 gun, since I got a decent amount of games in before my 20 oz ran out. After that I switched guns and my day went downhill with accuracy problems and paint breaks, etc

Anyhow, I am super impressed! I'll be dressing this gun up with short gas through of some sort, and calling it perfect!
