    Anodizing classic bodies, any issues?

I’m thinking about venturing down an expensive path for a cheap marker…

The good ol classic bodies- polished silver (clear? Whatever), feedneck welded on, etc. I have seen a few now done up in eclipse style livery and they look great. Is there anything to know about these bodies before I look deeper into this rabbit hole?

    thanks in advance!

Looking for Angel LED single finger trigger. Also splashy mag parts.

Remember to take the valve retaining pin out.

I've not sent one in for anno but would like to. Where do you plan to send it?

I’ve had good experiences with 4 or 5 different anodizers (and one poor experience with someone that seems to generally do great work), but my most recent excellent experience was with Caustic Customs. Did an amazing job matching a bunch of parts and the shop is only a couple/few hour drive away, which makes me feel warmer and fuzzier than sending stuff cross country.

I hate to say it but you can not anodize stainless steel. You can powder coat or Teflon coat it though.

          Whatchu talkin bout, Willis?

Spyders are very much capable of being anodized. The local shop owners nephew got into the anodizing gig very briefly and he practiced on the spyder bodies that were sitting in the back room of the shop for years. His work never looked great, but the bodies themselves held up just fine with no issues

Ohhhhh yup thought we were talking Automags. Still correct on not anodizing stainless but just does not apply to said Spyder. Carry on
