    Hammer

So I pulled the trigger on this, simply because it only cost me about 40 bucks shipped. Im not an expert but this may be an original Hammer?? It has a metal trigger frame and brass insert barrel. If anyone knows about hammers, I'll take some education please. I just got it this morning and immediately aired it up. I turn the tank on, no hissing. I cock it back, pull the trigger, and lo and behold it fires perfectly. So the Jungle 33 has got to be rental markings as it is roughly engraved into the trigger frame. It's pretty dinged up and rough, but I'll turn this into something badass in no time. This is my first real pump as my spyder project still needs some tinkering before I can try it out for real. But this Hammer seems ready to rock, I just need a small hopper for now, and eventually I'll do a stock class feed.

Hammers are great little pumps, they were my first full-size pump (as in, not a Talon). The trigger frame and brass-insert barrel mean it's likely an older one, though I believe the oldest ones had big porting cuts in the barrel tip, not positive on that though.

It's not the earliest model but not a more recent one either. Yours falls in the middle somewhere. The earliest ones had the larger feednecks like my Hammer Plus (Pic #1) and the original barrels were like the one on my Spyder (Pic #2). I can't remember when the powerfeed arrived and left the Hammer line up. My go-to Hammer (Pic #3) is of the same vintage as yours.

Does a standard 10 round tube fit right in our feedneck? I love the digi camo on that.

I'm unsure if one will fit. I've never tried but would assume it would fit.

Who does freak boring? There's a high spot in the barrel, but it would get cut out even if I use the 5 in inserts.

Never mind. I'm going to contact bmc as soon as he's taking work again

There should be an insert inside the pump handle that’s held in by a small screw. If you remove the screw, the liner should pop out and allow the use of larger OD barrels, although you may have a little more play in the pump handle if it doesn’t fill up the space

I did that already. All of my Spyder barrels are around .689 so I'm gonna have rollout issues. I'm waiting to see how much it's going to cost to freak bore, if it's cheaper than tracking down a good barrel then I'll do it.

Oh man, I could, but I'd have to find my Hammer, and then dig out the o-ring kit, and some tools, and actually tear the thing apart....like, I'll do it eventually, but I really hope someone shows up with the answers because I'm pretty lazy tbh

Well if you do dig it out, it's super easy to teardown! I currently have stacked Owings on the front bolt because I don't have an oring thick enough. It's not quite working out for me.

Oh man, I just looked and could find neither the gun nor the o-ring kit in my massive cache of paintball paraphernalia. I... I might have a problem

I've tinkered with this here and there and I think I have enough for a small progress report. I have the internals all polished up as well as the breech. Also started polishing the outside and removing the spray paint from the trigger frame but I ran out of sandpaper. I've also modified the grip to about 70ish degrees and it is much more comfortable. I want to get a new grip and pump handle eventually.

Does anyone know where i can pick up some proper grip frame and pump screws? The ones on my hammer are definitely wrong and it bothers me. I have since gotten a new grip frame for it.

They have a grip frame that's composite on ebay for about 20 bucks plus shipping

That's the same frame i got, it was 5 dollars cheaper straight from i and i. They didn't have those screws on the website but they're on ebay. Now i just need to find pump arm screws.

She's got barrel for days. Got this from Macdave06, gave her a quick shot of anti fungal, and would you look at that, she fits even with the shim. It's about as long as my leg with a tank on it, and I'm sure that's way too much barrel for this Hammer, but we won't know until I get to the chrony.

Did some backyard plinking today. It works great! I got a bunch of cheap 10 rounders and had to wrap some tape on them, but they fit and feed no problem. I can already tell I'm gonna like this rock n cock business. I can't wait to get out and play pump for my first time. It's not too heavy with my 68/45 on there, but eventually I'll either get a small tank, or an air thru t stock.

Nice job , you going to throw on a Phantom 45 grip frame and bottom mount that tank to take some of the length out ? Either way it’s cool and if you need a bottom line ASA and some braided hose hit me up at Hoth and I’ll give you those.

I have plans to make my own wood grip and pump arm and T or L stock from the bottom of the grip. I'll be making all of it from scratch so I will be able to make it more ergonomic. I'm just waiting on a nice chunk of exotic wood to come in. I think I'll keep what kind it is a secret for now, so stay tuned!

So I went ahead and made this for a test run so I don't destroy expensive lumber later. It is made from stacked pine plywood. I kinda like it. I definitely learned some things that will help me out for the real one.
