    Milsig M17A2 Mag Suggestions

Gentlemen/ladies, any tips on mags? I ordered 6 square headed 20 round mags when I bought this thing. 3 blew up on the first use. Yes - the first use. I have 3 intact, 1 needing a rebuild. I threw the other two out.

I am fairly well equipped in TipX/TCR magazines. So i am considering purchasing a magwell to accommodate that or some other system. What do you guys recommend? I would even consider a different magazine that fits the M17A2 without modification if it is not a one time use piece.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure milsigs are compatible with the scarab arms/rap4 magazines. I'm not sure how well those perform though. I've heard good things about tipx mags, and there is a wider variety of mags for them than most. Maybe get a vector kit from magfed maker for it? They're pretty cool.

Thanks for pointing me to that site. I am seeing a Helix magwell which sounds like a viable option. The helix mags seem well reviewed.

I know there used to be a PMC magwell for the M17 that took Zeta mags, but I've not been able to find one lately. They seem to be sold out everywhere I look.

MCS mags are fine for RB but if your shooting FS I would say look elsewhere.

I'm seeing that milsig dropped the curved roundball only mag and only offers the straight hybrid mag. I may just order one straight mag and put some rounds through it to test it out. Seems like the easiest most cost effective solution - if the mags are of decent quality.
