M1 Viper - Trying to find some parts

    Hello!

I have this M1 Viper that was a junker that was given to me many years ago. I have always wanted one of these and I have spent the past 15 years locating parts for this Viper. I still need a part or two. I need the hammer for starters. Not having much luck locating one too. In regards to the main spring and the valve spring, does anyone know what type of spring is close enough to use in the M1 Viper?

I’m pretty sure these were based off the illiustrator design. I think parts like the hammer are not going to be compatible ( I might be wrong but I don’t think so) but the springs might work or at least be in the ballpark. Raptors might be similar as well.
Been a while So don’t take this as gospel

The earlier ones were based directly off the Lazer I and II that was selling in the early 90s. It was originally going to be called the Lazer-3, but the company went under, and assets sold off. The new company bought up the inventory, and changed the name,. But I remember they salvaged all the old guns for parts since they were directly compatable

Not that finding a lazer I or II will be any easier. lol. I did have an M1 viper at point, along with an F1 illustrator. Similar inside, but I don't remember if they were identical.

At some point, the owners changed again, and they revised the internals a bit to be cheaper to produce, around 97? I'm not sure if pre 97 and post 97 is compatable with itself.

Thank you!! All good questions. I did try the illustrator and Raptor hammers. No dice.

I am ashamed to say that I am still looking for parts for the M1 Viper. Also need a stock barrel too.

VERY interesting. I have an F2 and a Laser. They are quite similar, but the Laser uses high tolerance delrin sleeves to recock the system. No o-rings. Very cool, until 30 years later and it's worn down enough to not recock.
