    Winchester 12g Pump

Okay, my buddy found one of these.

Apparently I gave it to him (although I have no recollection of this event), and now he is giving in back. Is it even useful? Can it be... de-sucked in any way.

I am, once again, gathering a collection of Freak-show markers.

Avalon GT 2000 sounds like a thrilling but unreliable sports touring car from the early 70s. Maybe Jag powered...all the switch work borrowed from Rovers...shooting brake with lots of glass...

It does sound rather Italian. I am told the marker is actually a good shooter. I guess we'll see.

These are the same as the Beetle.... Very cheap Nelson clones

      Dang!

That is some obscure stuff right there.

Funny thing is that hoppers worth like $50 probably more then the marker.

Oh yeah. The hoppers supposedly feed well and became really popular with the pump revival ten years back. Actually, having one together with the original gun is a true rarity now, lol

They do feed well you just have to modify them to take a full 50 round pod that actually holds more like 60 paintballs. I used 1/4”Chicago screws to mount a Dye lock lid on mine. That elbow looks like its one of those flexible ones that work great on offset feeds to.

I have the hopper, but it has a split at the lid lip.

I have a Brass Eagle 50 ball hopper as well, and it is much nicer. Seems to feed quite well.

Looks just like the one below, but in the translucent white w/a Brass Eagle logo

But... is the marker worth a fart?

The Winchester is much MUCH better than the Gen X Global one. It feeds better and it doesn’t distort from over tightening. It also doesn’t pop open and drop its balls everywhere. The Gen X one is one of the all time more terrible hoppers. I love the looks but they suck, sadly.

Yes totally right. Perhaps you could just mail me that old busted hopper. Lol

If the two halves are split, use some heat to refuse them. Throw the old lid away. Epoxy a pod lid on. Worth an easy $40 on fb. Worth $50+ with a well done Dye lock lid. I've seen them go for 50 stock a bunch of times. A fair number of folks still consider them the best pump hopper ever, even with the Jolo on the market.

As far as the gun, it's like a five or ten buck afterthought if you can find a buyer. It's a cheap Nelson, there's nothing inherently wrong with it, just no demand

I don't think selling it would be the way to go. I was more wondering if the thing was even functional at a basic level. I'll find out in a few days when I pick it up, I guess. I'll compare it to the JT ER2, kind of a least-worst marker comparison (although I was actually somewhat surprised by the ER2)
              Update
Comparing the Laredo the ER2, is like comparing the ER2 to a Sniper III.

I am going to mess about with it a little because it's actually really comfortable and astonishingly basic, but it's basically a bottom-of-the-barrel marker. I mean... it has a plastic sear...

I really liked the compact design of this gun (I have one), but it has the same problem as every plastic 12g gun of the last 20 years (except for the JT ER2-S), it can't be holstered. If they made a pre-entry level gun like a Talon/Blade/ER-2 that teenagers could buy at Wal-mart to shoot stop signs with (I'm convinced that's why these guns exist) that could also be holstered and thus used as a backup in woodsball and scenario games, I'm convinced they would have a winning product.

Agreed. With a bit of effort, it could have been tolerable.
