Trracer / Maverick / Tagmaster / Hornet barrels

Just heard back from Armson - they still make & sell barrels for Trracer-threaded guns! Here’s what they wrote to me:
Can’t lay my hands on raw barrels at the moment…

Immediately at hand (with just a bit of digging…):
    1. Flat black (not dust) finish 13” Pro-Series
    2. Polished black Pro-Series “blem”
    3. Dust Black 16” Stealth
    4. Dust Black 13” Stealth
    5. Silver 16” Steath (factory “bright” but not polished)
    6. Polished Nickel 16” Stealth (had forgotten we even did them in nickel…).

Pro-Series would be $39 – Stealths would be $49. I would be glad to work out an additional discount in you cared to take more than one. Will have to charge something additional for shipping. Can keep that minimal, but latest price increases have shot shipping through the roof! Please just let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

They make some awesome barrels, you should be happy with any of those choices.

I can't stress enough, if someone is trying to find a hard to find barrel, contact Armson! They got me a really nice Stealth for my 90s Sterling, and had it freshly ano'd as well. I just contacted him with a list of stuff and he is able to get me some super rare items like a Sovereign 1 barrel, as well as Warp feed parts, and most impressively micrococker back blocks.

Not to mention Forest and Tracy are two of the nicest people in paintball.

I am glad you found what you needed!

Forest was the guy who wrote me. Yep, super nice guy, I’m impressed so far by their response. I’ll probably go with a stealth barrel for my Trracer since all I have is the stock barrel, and the lack of porting makes it sound like a fart cannon.

I have actually never shot a pro-series. I was using a BOA barrel on my Sterling and it was loud. The Stealth is a great deal more quiet. I am sure it will help a lot with your Trraccer (ugh is it two 'r's or 'c's I can never remember! lol).

I cant say enough about armson. And Forest specifically. I found myself buying up vintage barrels and intruder grips last year and they were awesome to work with. He never was able to find the ICD threaded barrel I wanted, but man that guy looked for months. I told him repeatedly to give up, and he wouldnt. He never found the barrel, but months later when I wanted to buy a second intruder grip he gave it to me free for the barrel issues. Thats when he finally quit looking. The grip is easily worth more than the barrel. A++ stand up people.

I honestly didnt know traccers were a unique thread.

Yep the four pumps in the title share unique barrel threads. I’m amazed Armson is still selling Trracer barrels after the markers were discontinued years ago. Of course a new Stealth barrel runs about the same price as the guns themselves 🤪

Everyone over at PTP is great to deal with. I have mostly dealt with Forest and we have emailed back and forth I don’t know how many times over all the parts for the large Armson Semi and Pump lot I got last summer. Actually have some more parts in the mail right now.

Anyone else in the Portland, OR area want to go in on some barrels? I'd be happy to do the order & distribute locally to save on shipping + get a bulk discount, as mentioned in Forest's email.

Does anyone know if the Stealth barrels will fit in the pump handle on Trracers?

Great question! I’ll ask Forest and see what he says.

And just like that, he’s written back:

They should be good to go. I think we may have done some originals with an external spring clip stop, but these are all machined with a stepped stop, and I have never had a single complaint (which either means they work, or they don’t, and no one has complained – guessing the former since it’s paintball…).
