Thanks for the perspectives, always interesting to hear. Personally I'm getting back into pump play after a long break from paintball and I'm excited to get a sniper built up. I think figuring out how to install and time the autotrigger will be the more interesting part of my build. I've been ripping pneumatics off of cockers to install pump kits for years, there's nothing exciting about that to me anymore. One more thing to tinker with could be a pro or a con depending on how much you want to tinker I guess.
Personally I do think autotrigger is against the spirit of pump and should not be allowed in pump tournaments. However every video I see of these big pump tournaments out in California - they all seem to allow autotrigger and electric hoppers. Plus, there isn't much of a pump community in my area and I'm usually playing pump against electro or space mech semi guys. So if it's allowed in all of those big pump tournament series, and helps me keep up with the semi guys a bit, I'd rather have it, even if I don't use it often.
for walk-on play I think a sniper with AT and a 50-round hopper will be my go-to. I don't plan to constrain myself further with stick feeds or anything. The minimum amount of paint the field will sell me for a day of play is a bag of 500. Might as well shoot at least that.

murderbymodem You can easily shoot a bag with a stick feed, I do it all the time! I think A/T-ing on pumps seems to be more prevalent in the west coast pump community than the east coast. Not that folks don't use it here, but it seems to be more of the exception than the standard. You will be surprised how much fun it is to limit yourself further and further as you go down the pump rabbit hole.
