    Tiberius T9 Diassembly

    Taking apart a T9. Basically the same as a T8 in this regard.

    You need Allan keys and something to push the trigger pin out with.

    Step 1: push the trigger pin out. Sometimes needs a bit of force but it will slide out

    Step 2: Remove the two grip frame screws. The rear is a longer screw. (No photo necessary)

    Example of separating the T9 without pushing the trigger pin out. You can work on it like this but much easier to separate the halves by removing the pin.

    When you take the gun apart a stout spring will likely fall out. The sits on top of the safety. Just set the spring aside. It’s shown in the photo as the round object between the halves.

    Set aside the trigger frame and now we want to examine the reg and sear:

    Alrighty then, so now let’s get into the meat and potatoes of the T9. The regulator and sear assembly. While it looks complicated, it’s not that bad. You just need to know where everything goes.

    Here’s an angled shot to show the little pieces and springs before ai remove the reg assembly from the upper half and take off the plate.

    To remove the regular/sear remove the one bolt above the silver air nipple. Take that bolt off and separate the reg assembly from the upper body and then remove the cover plate. Be carefully to not send the springs flying.

    Here the cover is removed from the body and the three springs have been removed. Note the little oring that likely fell out. Those goes on the body above the valve assembly.

      Now the springs are gone, let’s continue to disassemble the sear. It consists of three pieces and and a spring.

        Now onto the actual valve assembly. Doesn’t matter which end you start on. I started on the slotted side:

        Inside there is the plug, a small spring, the valve body which contains a ball valve held in place by an oring.

        Then, flipping the valve body end to end we remove the Allan plug.

          And now to get things back together! Just follow the steps in reverse. BUT one important step you must do before attaching the valve assembly back onto the upper body. The bolt must be moved forward! The way it is properly caught by the sear. If it is too far back it will be behind the sear causing bad things!

          Bad Bolt Position: bolt is fully back, so will be behind the sear when reassembled.

          Good Bolt Position: Bolt pulled forward ahead of the sear.

          And now you should be good to put everything back together!

          And don’t forget the put the spring back on top the safety before connecting the body back onto the grip frame.
