Pro Line metal .45 frame for the A5. Info and discussion.

EDIT: Oops, not Pro Line, it was made by J&J.

So on the attached picture is my current A5'ish build. Of note is the Pro Line .45 grip frame. I've had some inquiries about this frame but sadly I don't actually have a lot of info. I remember seeing a little about it in various parts catalogs around 2004 or so, and got to see one in person at the 2005 IAO tournament at one of the vendors there but can't remember which one. So I filed the info away somewhere in my brain until a few years back when I started the attached build. I posted a WTB thread looking for the frame in the Pre-Hack era forum and a couple very helpful members responded quite quickly. I bought the first one to reply and I've been very happy since.

So, does anyone else have any info or details about this particular frame? Anyone else have one on a build or floating around the parts pile?

It seems that assorted web searches aren't pulling up any info on it these days. A bit of link degradation. Apparently what happens on the internet doesn't necessarily stay there forever.

Was Proline something by itself or was it by pro team product?

Got no facebook, so need a real internet link.

Was there some relation between ProTeam and Pro Line? My memory is a bit fuzzy but I seem to remember items from those two companies being in different catalogs.

Well, my one track mind had me doing some deep diving on some of my old posts, trying to refresh my memory.

Seems I was mistaken, it wasn't Pro Line, it was J&J!

One of the few non-barrel accessories I can think of from them.

Even did a little digging on archive.org to see if I can find an original listing. Unfortunately web design in 2003 sucked...

Well, we're getting somewhere. Now to see if I can edit the title.
