One just popped up on Ebay in Canada. It’s camo, so thinking a custom paint job?

Anyone ever run the TechT bolt on their's? I have mine in mech and I'm getting some fps drop. I was seeing if a lighter spring and that bolt would fix my problem??? I'm getting no drop off in electronic mode.

I have that bolt in one. I haven't seen any drop. In fact it actually gets a little higher sometimes and I'm using the standard spring.

If Tippmann brought back the crossover and kept the double trigger, would it be 10 man tourney legal? I think someone above said the flex valve is more like an automag valve, not a spool?

It still actuates a pneumatic valve, as opposed to a sear, so the double trigger would be illegal in ten man. Double triggers are only allowed on sear-actuates mechs.

I wonder if the linkage the trigger moves to actuate the pneumatic valve could be considered a simulation of a sear.

The Crossover was 90% exactly what I've wanted from Tippmann. I just want a simple looking single trigger center feed mechanical paintball marker with Phenom guts.

They tried too hard to make it look cool, and ended up making it look weird. Double trigger was ok I guess for the time. The classic tournament revival hadn't started up yet, so single triggers weren't really in demand. But other than that, I loved it. But it wasn't enough to compel me to buy one.

I wanted to buy one of these when they came out but honestly it was the A5 threading that stopped me. Seemed like a silly reason, but there it is.

I was really curious about these when they came out. At the time I was young with close to zero budget, (I was shooting a B2k) but I had a pretty solid understanding of how to repair and rebuild most guns, and my friends would have me run most of their repairs for them since I'd do it for free just to understand each platform and its weak points better. I remember how shocked I was that one of my friends was able to come up with the $400ish dollars for a Phenom and I was even more shocked to see it sitting on my work bench after only two times on the field because the internal hardline had failed. After replacing it.....It failed again after another 3-4 times of play. The hardline itself failed twice, not the seals on the hard line, the actual hardline. The internals looked and felt incredibly low quality. When I heard the crossover was essentially just the phenom in a speedball body I took a hard pass and recommend that all my friends do so as well. It was just way too much money for a bunch of high schoolers to drop on something that was having fixed parts fail repeatedly.

My $60 B2k kicked the living shit out of it anyway.

Once forcefed hoppers were widely available the B2K was a solid gun.

We had one in the shop for like 2 years that came down maybe twice to show off and it got passed over alot. I remember I didn't like the on off. It was really weird.

Eventually the owner used it as a rental and it constantly failed so he threw it in the bucket of busted G1s and SP1s and it was forgotten.

Tippmann seems to be struggling a little bit when it comes to innovation. I'm sure the new spool based line works well but those Raiders they released a while back around the same time or slightly before were such garbage that we sent all the ones we had as rentals back for a full refund. I really think they need to spend more time in the QA process before they make full releases in the future. The TPX is another example. I had one of the first 500 and they were a pile of hot garbage. They sent me an entire new marker besides the outer shells and replaced every mag I had for them. Now after a couple of years they're fine, but did they really test any of the early production markers before shipping?

They need to have people test that stuff out and give honest to goodness feedback. Not just the guys working with reballs In the office or on the floor.

If that crossover is still around, I'd be interested in buying it for parts.

I think it's long gone. Lost time I explored the conex it wasn't in the bucket of G1s anymore. Either he sold it or someone probably nabbed it.

I had 4 of these at one point 2 I have given away as gifts to close friends as their first markers to come to events with me and play.
I still have 2 of them one is even a Custom Bubble Gum pink color. I think their awesome markers for their design.
But like many above have said their biggest fail was price.
If they cut a $150 off their price and sold the Electro kit as a upgrade and offered more aftermarket stuff it would have probably grown on to ppl.
Also would have preferred the barrel to be cocker threaded just my thought

I got one of these in the mail the other day and I am pretty impressed with it (other than the hall effect sensors and board not working properly). Mech mode is very automag meets Emek. Seriously - it's a dwell insensitive spool valve that came out 6 years before the gamma core. Tippmann could have had a winner if they released a mech only single trigger version that wasn't the Phenom.

I know right!? One would assume that even with a failed gun, that they keep the tooling for it. Why couldn’t they pivot, put some money together to develop a new single trigger frame, re-release the crossover with a new name, and this time don’t pretend to be a speedball gun. And voila, Tippmann could have been in the mech tourney 10 man scene!
