A better Umarex T4E HDR50/TR50 paintball revolver velocity mod.

So this is a project I've been working on since June 2019. 2020 put a damper on things, but it's something I'd like to get moving on again. Those of you who were members on MCB around that time likely remember the thread in the Members Only section. This is an adjustable velocity mod that also improves air efficiency. I'm finally at the point I want to move to production, but I'd like to gauge interest before doing so. It also looks like it may work with this new pistol of theirs, but I have yet to confirm this.

Here is a video of Prototype 0 from June 2019. This one proved the concept, but wasn't adjustable, so velocity was temperature dependent. In the high 60's/low 70's (a weird cold front moved through, it's not usually that cool here in June), like in the video, it was spot on. When you got into the high 80's/low 90's, velocity spiked over 300 fps again, which required an adjustable version be designed. The adjustment required the loss of the aired up indicator/degas button, but did not require any permanent modifications. Everything can be undone and returned to as from the factory.

Some things I forgot in the initial post. I'm expecting them to sell in the $30~$35 range, and I will offer a service to install these. Installation service expected price will be $25 (in US, outside US price will depend on shipping cost), and includes return shipping. They are not hard to install, but do require pretty significant disassembly of the marker, which may not be something everyone is willing to do. These should be available mid-April, should there be enough interest to justify manufacturing.

I'm interested. I don't have one of these pistols yet but do plan on buying one. One of my largest hesitations has been the velocity issues

        Will it work with this?

First Strike Roscoe .50 Caliber Paintball Revolver. Easy to load and use, this extra accessory will surprise your opponents and keep you in the game longer!

probably not ... completely different design.
The above velocity adjuster uses the "pop-up pressure indication" used on Umarex valves

Ya, the Umarex is a blow forward, while the Roscoe is a traditional hammer firing revolver.

I have been holding off on buying one of the 50 cal revolvers in part because I was waiting for a usable way to adjust the velocity. These become available I'll snag at least one.

Getting closer to having these available for sale soon. Here is a video of the adjuster in action.

Here are some pictures of the adjuster. It was designed to be modular so spacers can be removed/added as needed to achieve target velocity.
