Last ditch effort at saving a bushmaster valve seal

    Hello MCB,

Here is my very dead and leaky seal.
I tried o-ring in there with no success ... Tried some experiment glue I've been wanting to try for a while ... Still leak ...

    so here we go ...

And here is the last ditch effort:
A 3D printed seal ... It's been under pressure with a 12g for over 24h and still seal and shoot ... So I feel good about it lasting ...

Nice, though the first two pics are missing.

Curious, though- you clearly have a lathe, why didn't you just turn a solid Delrin ring rather than 3D printing one?

That is a really good question!

Here are a few things (not necessarily in order ... But kinda?)
      1) I had the right filament already loaded in the printer
      2) I didn't thought of it
      3) it's quicker?

PS about #2: I don't have much delrin ... So I try to save it ... So I never use it ...
Now I'm thinking about it, I need to pick up a few rod of different sizes so I can actually use them 😅

PS #2 about #2: would delrin be soft enough? I've worked with PTFE solenoid a lot and they leak ... Always leak ... And never seal ... Ho! And did I mentioned they always leak? ...

Ultimately I'd like to made "drop-in" seal so anyone can replace them without the need of the lathe ...

PS#3: please Velcor, forgive the state of my lathe ... I'll make more seal and make more useless mod ... I promise!

    Nice work!
keep us updated of the reliability of this 3d printed valve seal over time, I just bough an ender 5 and have a valve that would need one of those

Well, its been about a month since i put a 12g in, its still shooting ... so i call this a success.
When i finally drain it out, ill open it and look at the seal ...

ICD should carry these. Nice job though.
