Poll inside - Autotrigger or not

Just a quick follow-up to some of the comments in the pump documentary post about rates of fire. Do you use autotrigger or not.

Personally, I do not. I shoot an old sniper with no autotrigger and even when shooting Nelson based it still seems silly.

    What say you?

I use it on occasion with my Sterling, but more often than not I don't use it much.

I currently don’t but only because I don’t have one. I really liked having it on the few guns I’ve owned on which it was a feature.

I have it, but only use it on the break to lane during tournaments.

Have it, don't use it all that often. Used it once and got yelled at. LOL! It's on all my Hammers. I gladly don't have it on my Spump. Never tried it on my SL68-II... Does it have it on there?

I personally find this funny because I had a similar plight. The only time I can ever remember autotriggering was using my stock class buzzard on an air ball field. I was doing a late game run through on the opposite side from the snake and came across a guy with a space gun. He was crouching so I had my marker and hence feed tube pointing down so I autotriggered 3 balls at him and didn't actually think all 3 would hit.

The end result was the electro guy yelling at the stock class guy for overshooting in a speed ball game.

And that is my only autotrigger story.

Has happened to me many times while clear bunkers and I don't use an auto-trigger to do it just learned to pull the trigger as the pump ends its forward movement. Had a team after a SPPL game mock their own teammate when they realized that the two guys who kept taking him out were me and the other pump player on our team.

            Yes, it does.

I don't use autotrigger. I have in the past, but that was more for covering lanes in very niche situations. I currently have only 1 pump that can AT, and I don't plan on using it for that.

I like them. On my snipers they make it impossible to fire the gun before the pump is all the way forward. This sometimes helps.

On sheridans, they hold the pump handle on when the bolt is out.

For those reasons I like them.

I hate those style, much prefer the AT boot/bottom on the sheridan ...

And it's handy for shooting from your off-side, when your pump and trigger aren't so coordinated.

Most of my PPS don't have autotrigger, and most of the ones who do are stock class ... So there isn't much opportunity to use it in the first place ...

When I do have it with an open class, I use it just cause I can ... 😁
It's kinda useful when running and rushing a bunker ...

Auto trigger is a nice tool to have from time to time. The one sniper I actually have does not have one though. I’ve just never bothered to install one. And truth be told, these days I prefer to play with a semi anyways.

The only pump I own [now] is a S6.5 so my answer is, yes. I rarely use it though, and when I do, I'm usually off target or startled by something.

Once I put an open class body and HPA on my phantom, I started using AT. I didn’t like it because it feels like semi with excessive work. But I couldn’t help myself with moving targets or electros in open play. Wound up just selling the gun. If I end up buying another pump, it’ll be stock class or stick feed again.

I have a few guns equipped with them, but rarely ever use it outside of tournaments. I've participated in more than a few non tournament pump events where most of the players might as well have been shooting semi's with the amount they were autotriggering. I took the autotrigger off of my SHO for this specific reason.

                        Yes.

But I have one large difference.

I'm playing pump against electric guns in speedball

I should have noted this + the fact that my S6.5 is stock class. Very little real deal pump scene in the Pac NW. Almost always going up against electros, semis, etc.

It is funny when people go maximum ROF with a pump gun. It’s only natural though.
