    Gear that won't die

What's that piece of equipment that just won't die no matter what? Or that you have tried to get rid of but it won't go away?

I would have to pick my Proper brand multicam pants I got used off eBay years ago. I have tried a bunch of different paintball specific pants, but these work too well and fit great. I have a hard time justifying spending $80-$200 on less quality pants that will just be more annoying to wear. Only issue ever was the top botton popping off, but my lady sewed it back on and it's been excellent.

Another would be the JT slide shorts. I received these years ago by mistake. Paid for some other kind, the seller sent these. Ended up keeping and I am glad, because nothing else has ever compared in fit, padding, comfort. The cup pocket is the perfect size where I can fit a Bike brand flexible cup and it cradles my goods so well and comfortably.

Lastly, the PCS "Sniper" gloves. Nothing I've tried has felt nicer on my hands. They say "sniper" on them too which is goofy but I love it. My pair are finally starting to show signs of death.

Markers wise I have had the same Tippmann Pro/Carbine since new in late 90s. Other than the velocity screw failing (Original was some kinda polymer that eventually stripped out), few of the ball detents and a single o ring. The markers been trouble free. I have likely shot more paint outa of this one than any other. I sold it to a friend once. Then shortly after traded an RTโ€™d A5 I had at the time to get it back.

My Automag of similar vintage (bought it new ruffly a year after the carbine). Has been next to trouble free too. But itโ€™s harder to trace as that things been and spawned so many other mags itโ€™s hard to say how much itโ€™s been used in the original/present configuration.

Iโ€™ve been wearing the same PE knee pads 40 weekends a year for almost the past three years. Washed before every use and still going strong.

Are they the highlighter green ones? I was going to answer this question with my Proto knee pads, but they are being artificially kept alive.

Yes the padding is highlighter green.

Well thatโ€™s all the convincing I need. I always show up to the field and say, โ€œone more day for the Proto padsโ€ then end up hobbling around the rest of the week because the padding is long gone.

Tippmann Pro/am from early 90's. Ball detent is the only part that has ever been changed.

Also, early Sniper 2. Still on the original valve and nearly everything else for that matter and it is my primary marker.

I'd say my Extreme Rage fingerless gloves. Nice rubberized padded back, good palms, and velcro that just keeps on holding. Been using the same pair for probably... 13-15 years? Granted I don't play every month or more like I used to, but still. I bought another pair right after Extreme Rage/PMI/NPS sold out. Still haven't used them in a game.
They're getting close to retirement though. The elastic is shot, but they are stretched out enough to fit over the padded wrists/hands on my armpads. I'll probably keep them for a while yet.

Iโ€™m using the same PE pads from 06. About due for new ones tho. My favorite Tiger Stripe Renegade jersey itโ€™s showing signs of the abuse I put it threw but itโ€™s still got plenty of life left in it.

My Automag, my B2K4, and Hammer A just never go down, and never give up. I've been using the same Revy for 20 years, and the same olive proflex for 22ish.

My Revy is as good to me now as it was twenty odd years ago.

Revvy! I got a bunch that are old as dirt and still work. Thatโ€™s a great paintball product for sure.

I should also mention the Revy, however I haven't owned a single one for a very long period. They come and go through out time. I do have one now though!

My Straight Shot squeegee... bought it 20 years, still using it. The rubber disc is in rough shape, though... might be time to retire it.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: โ€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.โ€

โ€œBut Lord,โ€ asked Gabriel, โ€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?โ€

And God replied, โ€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Mine doesn't seem to last for more than a few swabs ... I have only one (exalt?) That seams to hold up a bit better ...
                      Where do you get yours?

                    I have 3:
                    • Big Red, the chronograph that loves to be dropped and keep on chugging.
                    • Basic bitch turtleback gloves - PMI, BE, brand doesn't matter... they just hold up for wash after wash. I have a pair of Exalt gloves I bought late 2019 and they are shredded and falling apart. The PMI turtleback gloves I've had for a decade? Friggin' pristine guy.
                    • My USA pump cocker. Once I got the springing & reg set up the way I like I have not touched a thing and it will gas up no problem and shoot 280-300 with no drama whatsoever. So reliable and consistent it's almost boring!
