Saw a post about AT/launchers a while back on here and was intrigued by the Metadyne Havoc launcher. I found videos of them being used with nerf footballs, but was wondering if anyone has any experience using some kind of smoke or paint grenade with them?

I have no experience with these but I could see safety issues right away.
I am assuming the soft nerf rockets are not being launched at 300fps like a paintball. The kinetic energy transfer into a person would be significantly higher.
launching something solid like a smoke grenade seems like it could have the potential to be really bad if someone got hit. Accidents happen.
as for paint grenade, the rockets should be as effective as bunker Buster's if the rules are set up correctly and the refs are watching. -
I have a buddy who made a sabot to launch enola gaye regular smokes. It honestly works well, but the fields around wont let him shoot them in game for obvious reasons.Comment

Can confirm it technically works. Big safety concerns though since the smoke burns, and dropping one into someone's shirt at high speed, or just losing one in the brush and starting a fire, happens...
Paint grenade is another story... most fail, or you can throw them farther than you can shoot.
Every field I've been too limits launchers to ~170 fps.Comment
