    WGP Barrel Kit

Okay, who was bidding against me on this kit

Just won this on the-bay, super excited for this sweet little vintage kit.

What's the story on these? Never seen a kit like this before. Were they options for the older guns? Or was this included with some of the high-end markers like the barrel kits we have now-a-days?

This is the "WGP Triple Threat" barrel kit. It was sold from around 03-05 as a budget barrel kit compared to the more expensive Kaner kit. Kinda a backwards kit from what you'd want on a cocker, as it only has a single .689 back and 10, 12, and 14 in fronts.

But to be fair that .689 was plenty tight for almost any paint you got back then. So it was probably perfect. One back and a couple tips to play with length. Idk lol

tip length was something noobs like myself thought was a really big deal because we were dumb teenagers. I used to swap between 12, 14, and 16in fronts depending on whether I was playing on a close quarters plyboard field or long balling woodsball field. These changes had zero impact on ball travel or accuracy but in my brain I thought it was a key thing to alter between games lol.

I'm sure WGP was counting on that type of mindset to sell kits. My buddy had this exact kit on his 2k2 vert feed cocker.

To get back to the OP's questions, they altered the milling on the later Triple Threat kits, made them look a bit more high end. The one seen in the first post is the early version, here's the later one (which I had.)

I'm torn if I should use it. Pretty neat that it's still new in package.

Id be pairing it with an Ifit kit, so I can pick the bore.

Thought it was a neat step back in time, and cool info about it.

Not nearly rare/valuable enough to worry about damaging it, go nuts.

Thanks. They will probably see minimal play, but still wanna keep the set nice / together. Thanks for the input.
