Talk to be about 12g bandoleers/holsters/holdy things

So, going to be running the agd 6 pak at supergame again this year, need to carry some extra 12ies with me. I don't like them jingling around in my pocket

What do you use mcb? What do you like or not like about it?

I generally use a 12 gauge belt attachment or one of the RTR bottom line holders. I rarely go through more than 1-2 per game though, so your mileage may vary for a bit game.

I use one of these on the inside of my wrist to hold 12g with a Gauntlet over it. Only holds 5x12g if you plan on using it in a big game you may want to go with a shotgun belt style bandolier. How many tubes you plan on carrying is probably the more important question and what are you running it on. Daily temp may play a big part in how many you want to keep on had to.

I like this because it’s cheap holds 12g tight so I lose less of them. It also keeps everything in front of me so I don’t take my eyes off target I can change out using peripherals, it’s quick, and easy to grab. I especially like it when I play open play. I can grab one hit my lever changer all one motion dump load the next and activate it very quickly. Definitely quicker then it would take to get run down in rec play. I couldn’t do that pulling them from my pockets.

Ask yourself how often you'll be using it. If not very often then I'd keep it cheap & buy a shotgun belt.

If you're not going to shoot much then you might not need to carry any with 6 on board. If you're using a Nelson averaging 30 shots/12g that's 180 shots. So that's 17 tubes + what's on the marker if playing stock class, or a pocket hopper + two 50rd tubes (or a 100rd tube) and a tad extra.

What paintgun are you using? That will help determine how many you actually need to carry. If you're playing stock class, don't forget room for all the tubes (shotgun belt might be best).

You can’t beat the value of a shotgun belt.

Yup. I added a dump pouch and pistol holster (which I had for airsoft) bringing the total up to less than $20 spent, and I have 20 loops plus 3 small pouches that fit 12s nicely.

I feel like the more important question is how much paint you plan on shooting and what you are shooting them with. That will help determine how may 12g you will want to have on hand. Most SC players will use less then what your 6pack carries.

I think everyone missed that Trbo323 wants to play at Supergame. Seems like it will be a big game, not just normal stock class quick rounds. He might need some extra capacity to avoid having to walk off to reload.

Yup load out for a really big game, as Supergame is, you will want to carry extra especially if you do not want to come off the field much. Make sure you balance your paint to 12 gram load. Nothing worse then having plenty of one but not the other on you and not be eliminated necessitating a trip off the field just to reload.

That’s kind of the the point I was trying to make. 6x12g is 13-24 tubes depending how efficient your setup is, how fast your follow up shots are,and how warm it is that day. Thats 130-240 shots before you even have to reach for a 12g. Larger packs like the joyride hold 15-18 tubes. Suspender type could hold more I guess but at the same time you could just throw a 12g in every 3rd or 4th loop depending on how efficient your setup is.

No sense carrying a ton of 12g on you of you don’t have the paint to shoot. Your typical SC setup is going to be a bit different then a big game setup I would think.

I’m a huge Stock Class enthusiast but I honestly go Open class pump for large number games. I want a setup I can go out and play all day on. I get shot I can walk back to the spawn and hop right back on. Big games = Big walks

If I had a six pack I probably wouldn’t carry anything. I’m pretty sure I’ve never used six 12gs in a single session. I usually get lit up and go back to staging after like…three. The best thing about stock class, the BEST THING, is that you don’t have to carry all that crap than the speedballers and milsim guys are always dragging around. I always make sure to take advantage of that. If possible I go in with a pistol, six tubes, a spare 12g or two…so light and easy.

If all guns in the game are stock class and/or it’s a long format day it would be different. If you’re battling electros and such you won’t last long enough to need more than six 12gs.

I usually put one in a pocket by itself, one in another pocket by itself, etc. No rattling would be acceptable. I also have one of those cheap wrist bands that can hold a few and those work just fine.

When I was playing big games/scenarios with my 6-Pak I used a shotgun belt but others I know prefer bandoliers so her a couple links. Not sure how you are loading out paint tubes and stock feed or Pods and hopper. If you are doing open class with a 6-Pak then you will go through a significant volume of 12 grams [at least that is my experience]

If you already have Paintball Mafia Joyride or 5-50 then they have plenty of exposed Velcro to attach these:

I can get 5-6 of these on my Paintball Mafia Joyride or 5-50 so easily 25-30 extra 12 grams but 3-4 fit more comfortably and would be "enough" I would think.

I used to run my 6-Pak all the time in the early 90s and developed a habit of carrying one 12 gram in my palm of my pump hand and would immediately replace a spent one in the 6-Pak after cycling the changer. That way I kept 6 in the 6-Pak all of the time so they were there if the fighting got intense. If a 6-Pak is going to jam it is on the last 2 in the magazine so I tried to keep it topped off as much as possible. You can also use the 6-Pak to draw people out of cover by cycling out a partial 12 gram and if your opponent is listening will thing you are changing out while you have already done it. Check valve helps with this to keep your first shot charged from the previous 12 gram.

Yeah I should have made that more clear. This is a big game. I'll be on the field for roughly 3-4 hours, with lots and lots of targets to shoot at. I'm playing open class and will probably have 3 maybe 4 pods with me

So I'm going to have a pod pack on already, so belts are not really comfortable. If theres an option that can stick to the exposed Velcro of my pod pack that might be an option

I will have a camel back with me, so I can put some in there but I'd like to have some with easy access to top off the 6 pak without having to go to the back of the field to pull the backpack off

I use something like this, but double stacked. Molle attachment and I prefer the pouch style for longer excursions where it is easier to lose things. It is totally silent since they have loops. No jingling.

                Paid maybe $12 for it.

"Staging" is about a mile from the field. It's our campground

If I was using a 6 pack I would use a pouch with a huge pile of loose 12 grams, or a full size shotgun belt with the 12ies running all through it.

Looks like you'd need around twenty 12 grams. 4 pods (560 balls) plus your hopper. I have a WTF wrist gauntlet that could hold up to 8 12ies. I also have two old style wrist harnesses that hold 5 each. You could go with a shotgun buttslock sleeve. I have used one on my forearm in the past that I attached another 5 shot holder on the other side of it. It holds 10 then.
