Should Azodin make a .50 cal Marker?

.50 cal paintball is great introduction to this game for new players!

The industry needs more .50 cal options for guns

Should Azodin dip their toe in the market? They already know how to make cost effective, decent performing guns.

    Maybe a .50 cal Kaos ?

Or should they make a .50 cal pump gun!

I'd rather have any other platform than another STBB for .50. I hated servicing the Spyder Opus .50 cals we had at the field. Such turds.

We have a .50 cal Emek, GoG enmey, Spyder Opus, Spyder Stormer Mercury Rise Venom, Valken cobra, Valken Menace pistol, Tippmann TMC, the Tippmann Cronus, Tippmann FT12, JT Splatmaster line of markers, some older Egos, GI had the Impulse in .50, and First strike also has the Roscoe and umarex the T4E.

There are plenty of options if you look for them.

I'd use a .50 pump though. Maybe I can get a tiny upper tube for my T2 made lol.

i've actually liked the little Opus guns we picked up, granted they've never seen rental type use, and i replaced all seals before taking them out, so that helped with reliability I think. I might grab an enmey .50 if I can find one.

Azodin could bang out an opus like marker pretty easy, I suspect and re-use a lot of their parts bin. I may email them this thread link if we get any more discussion on the topic

Meleager7 yeah, as a personal marker I'm sure it's fine. As a 4 parties a day marker; no, they just don't hold up. I had nothing but trouble with them.

Honestly a .50 Azodin pump could also be a great way for kids to try paintball without the fire rates that semi autos bring. I remember way back in the day an indoor field that just rented PGPs and it wasn’t intimidating to kids or newbies at all.

Honestly no. There's no market for .50 cal among serious players, and there's already several reliable .50cal options for fields (tippmann and emek versions). Azodin would just be wasting their money.

100% keep the serious players out of .50 cal last thing a field needs is some weekend warrior ruining a new players day. .50 cal is a great way to introduce people to the game without the pain. It should strictly focus on the rental market.

I agree with you, that when .50 cal was marketed to serious , regular .68 cal players, it was a huge failure then, and there is still no market for established players now.

But man , for new players (children and adults alike ie. Women ) who want to try this great game, and are worried about the pain factor, .50 cal is a fantastic introduction!

So my hypothetical was aimed more at the idea if Azodin could get another option into the rental marker , since Spyder and Valken don't make guns any longer for it, would fields invest in offering .50 cal if they could build up their rental fleets with more economical Azodin guns.

There are still fields out their with no low impact .50 cal option , and it frankly blows my mind that they don't offer it !

And Azodin .50 cal guns would give younger players a cheaper entry point if they wanted their own gear. Let's face it , Azodin guns are decent , especially their more basic mechanical stbb's .
