    PaintballDNA JOLO loader reviews

Does anyone have a JOLO loader from PaintballDNA? https://paintballdna.com/product/jol...10rd-feedgate/

The video they have is impressive but I was hoping for some independent reviews before spending $60 on one. https://youtu.be/lThHdR4mZs8

They're great! They feed as good or better than a Primo, with the usual caveat that it doesn't work great on guns with low recoil like spools. The stack is pretty tall though so you can still get a decent string even on those types of guns. If you want a tiny hopper I think it's the best on the market, with a lo-cap PAL or GOG 100rd after that.

I like the JOLO and GoG 100. When I got my JOLO, Winchester 50rds where still going for silly prices, even more if they had the brittle Dye lock lid glued to it. So, for like $10more, I got a JOLO, with a better lid and a 10rd feed hole.

I did NOT enjoy the MOJO. No real size savings. Just use a GoG 100 or Revvy.

I retired my Winchester years ago. The thing didn’t feed perfect and the front was softer than a newborns skull. Unless anyone reading this is a paintball hipster, save your money and skip it.

I believe the APP 50 is the second best small hopper you can buy if you don’t want to spend the money on the JOLO. It’s tough as nails and feeds good enough... most the time. But that ain’t good enough for me.

The JOLO build quality is solid, on both the body and lid. I’m not worried about this breaking if the gun or myself crash or hit anything with it. It’s hands down the best feeding (read: perfect) pocket hopper I’ve ever used. For more than 5 weekends of play, it’s fed perfectly every single day. Never used a pocket hopper that ever gave me a 100% feed rate. This is one of the best pieces of paintball equipment I’ve ever bought.

My only gripe with the JOLO is the lid. It closes way too easily. It’s not spring loaded and requires a little bit of a balancing act to keep open. Meaning you’ll either need to hold your gun perfectly still and level or keep your gun pointing down enough to keep the lid open. I’m still getting used to this little dance, especially when reloading in the middle of a game.

My only wish is the lid was spring loaded. Outside of that, if money ain’t an issue, this is the best pocket hopper I think you can buy. I’ll admit, I grimaced at the price. But after using it that first day, I’d buy it again if I needed to.

Wow these hoppers look quite nice, but as $60USD definitely spendy.

Found this little beauty they sell as well:

No mention of mayo though, so they must not be mcbers.

The new versions are spring loaded. Hit up PBDNA and he'll send you the new lid.

I own several of the JOLOs and a bunch of other PBDNA products.

The jolo is one of the best feeding hoppers I've ever owned. 😃

Here’s mine. Haven’t played a game with it yet but it sure does look good on my minimag.

That's certainly the miniest looking minimag I've ever seen.

I Love my JOLO, and I use it a lot. I especially love how well it feeds on my Emek for rec play. I run this with a 18ci it’s a nice light setup. I retired my modified Winchester for the JOLO. It’s definitely the best feeding 50-60 round hopper. It’s been very durable as well. I highly recommend them. Spring lid would be nice but that magnet lid more then makes up for it.

Used mine for the first time on Saturday, playing pump. Fed well enough, but I haven't had issues with my Winchester feeding. Magnetic lid is real nice. I'd like to run a lighter load with 10rds to use the feedgate on the lid, just haven't decided on a rig.

The balls rattling around when the Jolo gets low low is noticeably loud compared to the Winnie, which has its upside, I guess.

The lid position & shape means I gotta tip the hopper fully forward to fill it, or else some balls escape. Ungrateful balls. Another reason I want to run a tube rig.

The Jolo will definitely get more use in the future. It won't retire the Winchester (variety is the spice of life) but it absolutely has a home in the rotation.

KMD had been 3D printing Winnie clones for a very palatable price, but they no longer have them listed on the site. Real shame, because that's another hopper I'd recommend. I'll need to repost my review to the new site.

The KMD could not take a shot. They exploded when you used them.

They reprinted them a little differently and did a shot test video. Mine is holding up for now but I do have a neoprene cover on it.

Resurrecting this because I found it while doing some toilet research, and was convinced enough to buy one. Especially that they have a spring loaded lid now. As I type this they are also on sale for 39 (+ ship)

I finally got my hands on a Jolo. It's the best, and it looks just right. The only time I had a feed issue was when I overfill it, other than that it always feeds. Definitely worth it.

They also offer the soft version called the JELO but i would think a hopper hit would be messy on the inside.

I feel like this is an issue in ANY gravity hopper, but it hits the small capacity ones harder

I have a few of them now. I still think the JoLO it’s the best small cap hopper on the market. Winchester needed a lot of mods to make it feed like the JOLO out of the box.

I definitely wouldn’t get the squishy one. I would rather a ball break on my hopper than break all the paint in my hopper. That was my biggest gripe with the Winchester when it got shot your paint would break. That’s why they really need the bounce cover and the lid modifications.

JOLO needs none of that it’s super durable.

I've got one of these too, and I love it. I wish it looked nicer, but otherwise I'm realty impressed with it.

I got one with the 10-round tube feeding lid hole, but I'm not sure that's really necessary. It takes a lot of effort to line up the tube perfectly to get the balls through the little hole, especially if I'm not looking at the hopper. Well, maybe effort isn't the right word. Focus? Attention? Anyway, I find it's usually faster to just flip the lid, dump in the tube, and close it again. And if I do it that way, I can be looking elsewhere and do everything by feel, so I'm more alert.
