    July giveaway, because why not?

I'm nearing the end of my 19th anniversary of being a member of the MCB community, and in an attempt to give back in honor of the incredible and generous people on here, I'm giving away... a project. Obviously. 🙂

Click image for larger version Name:	20250717_190139.jpg Views:	0 Size:	1.34 MB ID:	714934

It's been compiled out of parts donated over who knows how many years and does function, but needs a little TLC to get it across the finish line.

There's a lot of options available for setup - you'll get a small pile of random assorted Mag pieces so you can do what you want with it - so if it's not your particular cup of tea in this configuration, you can change it.

    How to enter, you ask?

It's open to green and red members, and that's basically it. If you care to share a story of how MCB has benefited or helped you in the past, feel free!

I'll do a draw on the 28th of the month - the first day of year 20 - so y'all have til then.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I would like to be entered in your July giveaway please . I have only been on MCB for a couple of years now so I don't have any real stories to tell. But one of the benefits I get from here is just all the information plus the stories from the members always make for some great reading. But really the best part is that although the world (especially this country), is kinda messed up right now I can come here and find many, many people willing to go out of their way to help someone they never even met . And to me that says it all!👍👍 After I read this completely I may have come off a little sappy.🤢

MCB has been a huge help to me. The wealth of knowledge and willingness to help has been incredible. I went from tinker with the odd Tippmann A5 to (trying) to rebuild Timmies, Shockers and other wild and exotic fair.

I’ve had numerous people send me needed parts asking for nothing of return and some have been nice enough to even rebuild markers for me when I was in way over my head. I’m thankful to the community and try to return the favour when I can and try to draw in new members. Heck, even my kids love Walzmas and running giveaways!

I appreciate MCB and am thankfully for the friendship that have grown here.

Finding cool shit you can't find anywhere else is definitely a nice plus, but meeting awesome like-minded people who become friends in real life are the real deal!

Who knew having friends with benefits in an online forum in 2025 would mean this.

But mcb has given me a place to come to to not only find a well of useless information but also spread my useless information as well. On the real tho it's put me in contact with lots of cool people who I prolly would of never known or gotten to know. Thanks to my brother lurking here and seeing a thread about spew 2016 it kinda put a fire under us to travel more to play and meet some members here.

Count me in, I love projects. MCB and it's members are what kept me in the sport or I probably would have faded away by now.

Colours are denote paid members. Greens are paid members, reds are mods. Blue are standard free members. Paid membership gives you more access to a few different areas of the forum such as the member sale area where things are generally discounted over the standard sales section. Usually the discounts the paid members section are worth more than a year's membership.

I'd love to be entered. MCB has introduced me to some amazing people, some of whom I'm lucky enough to play pump paintball with a few times a year. Beyond that it's a treasure trove of knowledgeable and skilled individuals. I'm putting together a duckslide right now that has a frame from one member, was milled by a second member and grips from a third all of which is going to be anodized by a fourth member.

My only complaint is this forum is bad for my finances!

                    I am in...

MCB has helped me get back into serious passionate paintball. Paintball died off in my state and I was only playing against guys with 98s in their back yards. Once I got back on MCB it reconnected me with the old school scenes and opened my eyes to the bigger games out of state.

All right everyone, get out your cheese graters.

I remember as a kid going to walmart and seeing the paintball guns on the shelf, thinking how much fun it might be to one day try it. $100 to a broke kid may as well be a million, so I never did.

In 2022 my son was born, and in the next two years everything else spiraled into oblivion. Postpartum issues, loss of both our families, financial ruin, you get the idea. It all came to a head last year when my wife and I had to make some major changes in our lives or continue wallowing in that deep dark hole we were stuck in. I quit drinking and playing videogames, both of which were really difficult. I also started going to therapy and my therapist convinced me to finally give paintball a try. Somehow, running around like an idiot plinking at teenagers I could barely see through the fogged-up mask made me feel alive again. So I immediately (after a nap. Wow I'm out of shape) started trolling online for any old gear I could find for cheap and found an old procarbine for $10 on some shady website. Lo and behold, it didn't shoot.

Trying to get that thing working again lead me to MCB, and revived my other love of tinkering. The sense of community here is something I have never felt in my life. You're my people. Honestly even if this goes nowhere I want y'all to know how much this place has kept me going through a dark time.

For what it's worth, thank you all.

ps. I think mags are the coolest markers ever made, but you probably shouldn't give this thing to me. I will immediately cannibalize it into some janky monster project.

Sir, your cheese is admirable! Glad paintball helped in your process and hope you continue to move onto better and brighter things.

The positives of MCB: Met some okay people that are strangely willing to help me keep my markers running.

The negative: I’m not real big on the red guys.

I would love to be entered. I discovered MCB way back in the beginning in 2003 when the original VM Empire site was on its slow decline and I was looking up information on a VM 68 and looking for parts. Since then I made a whole bunch of friends , gone to many events I probably never would have gone to, and have learned about so many different markers that I now know how to fix it a good majority of them. None that would have been possible without MCB.
