Shhhhhh don't reveal my secret plans. But to be fair the company is also the same guys who make props for us Star Wars nerds, so I certainly HOPE he makes some accessories that could help add to that experience.

I am in total favor of seeing all this !!!!

got my shipping notice 🥳🥳🥳🥳. The n3 shroud attachment looks absolutely sick, may have to spring for that when it's released.

The gun oil it uses, is it best to stick with the stuff nova sends with it or will any regular marker oil work with it?

I emailed them and they confirmed that dow33 based lubes and slick honey bike grease is what they recommend.

Yup, TJ (does most of the assembly work) and I talked about it a Fulda Gap. He even does the tiny bit in you ASA an shoot it through just like we would do with a lot of other markers only with air tool oil. Pretty convenient.

These guys need to redesign the Thumper.

Broke down and ordered a grey N3. The gun just looks like it has a good feeling, even a bit of soul. Emeks are cheaper but they just don't have soul.

Hoping they make some cool shrouds and mods for us customizers!

I love the soul comment,, It feels like that across the industry right now... There is alot of stagnation in design and tech for sure.. I love the days when Bud orr , Tom kay , mike Casedy , Carter, Mike Wood and many many others were the innovators not the me 2 coping then crank it out in china repro mega companies. Mike and I do this because we love doing what we do!

Fieldmarshal - 100% agree, there are very few left who are doing it because they love it and I greatly appreciate you guys! I have one of your steel Mando blasters and a few of your stands, I have always seen the passion in your work and love that you guys keep innovating and pushing boundaries. Can't wait to see what comes next!!!

Barrel change wasn't that bad, thankfully the first step down of the barrel is a bit smaller than the ID of the snap ring so you can just slid it off.

Didn't help that my snap ring pliers are busted.... So annoying.

Nova has them as well. I think they have been too slammed and haven’t had a chance to add them to the website. I’ll shoot Chris a message and remind him.

What is yall's experience with how often or not you get chops and/or skipped shots with an n3? At the field I seemed to be getting atleast one chop a game, most of them requiring me to clean out the hopper. I have it set at 160psi and shooting 275 +/- ~10fps but even with just one balling at home, I experienced a chop within a few shots of having completely cleaned out the gun/hopper and making sure there was no broken paint. I switched to the smallest included insert instead of slightly overboring (I thought a larger bore would alleviate the issues) as well as to better paint from another field and got what looked like one barrel break and some skipped shots but otherwise shot fine for ~2 pods and a few decent rips at ~12bps. Is it just particularly picky about bad paint? And are the skipped shots at high speed just inherent to the design? (using a rotor, experienced the skipped shots with an ir2 as well))

Well, my rotor is set to flush. Shot the same crappy paint through the .679 insert and shot great with no breaks, just occasional skipped shots at high ROF. Unfortunately, the pressure tester still seems to be out but was able to get it to a relatively consistent ~280fps. Not sure what the pressure is exactly but I'm just gonna leave it for now lol.

glad you got it shooting. maybe some debris made its way through to the tester.

Now that you mention it, I'm almost positive it may have been from dow33 I put on the tester orings. Lesson learned.

A few things... i want an insert set for my n1. But if I try to order the whole kit its out of stock. Yet I think each individual insert is in stock so I could essentially order each one individually and get the whole set. That or, Ill just order a few inserts. Any chance anyone knows the status of whole kits?

On the note of the D swinging contest, I want to get a spare barrel ( just the moving part.) And a shroud for my n1.

My vision is polish rings into the barrel so they show in the shroud holes when the trigger is pulled, but it looks black when the barrel is forward. But I dont wanna wreck my barrel trying this idea.

Lastly, I have 50 duro o rings on my barrel. Should I reach out to tj for replacements?

I noticed the .688 was out of stock, but the insert set that excluded that insert was also listed as out of stock when I looked so it threw me off as I checked every insert and only .688 wasn't avialable. I only figured I'd ask for the o rings if I had an order being shipped to me anyways, figure as long as tj knows to toss them in my box its a win win.

Of course I dont. I think. .684, .682, and .675 would likely cover all of the paint Id need them for.

I sent this video to a few friends when I got my nova. I find myself re-watching it occasionally the past few days. I tossed it up on my drive for yall to enjoy.

That was my thought. A veiny rubbery one for max effect.

Ive seen cockers with something similar in past

With how the gun works and loads paint, is the N3 just not a viable gun to use below ~55*f? I'm thinking that the timing of winter may be coinciding with the issues I've had because otherwise, it seems to shoot fine other than the occasional barrel break.

Certainly an interesting thought, though my day of play on it was on our indoor field that's climate controlled to 55F. I can use it again tomorrow again and keep a lookout for any issues.
