Barrel change wasn't that bad, thankfully the first step down of the barrel is a bit smaller than the ID of the snap ring so you can just slid it off.
Didn't help that my snap ring pliers are busted.... So annoying.

@Johnydread
I emailed them and they confirmed that dow33 based lubes and slick honey bike grease is what they recommend.

An Emek can have all kinds of soul, once you spend a ton of money changing everything about it. I think you made the right choice, the more I look at Nova as a brand their markers just seem fun.

Grendel No oil eh? Is slick honey just like grease or what

Broke down and ordered a grey N3. The gun just looks like it has a good feeling, even a bit of soul. Emeks are cheaper but they just don't have soul.
Hoping they make some cool shrouds and mods for us customizers!

superman I'm only gonna change it once to the 14, but I hate Snap rings with a passion. I'd love to look into the possibility of getting a dye style back for it, mainly so I can use my preferred tips. But I think I'd have to get a weird 3 piece design for that to work judging by how this comes apart.
Siress No, the forward section is just a delrin cover to conceal the spring and probably stop paint from getting in there. The rear section is the actual barrel threads.

no oil, slick honey <name eludes me> is what they recommend.

by the way the inserts go into the barrel with the numbers facing the breach where you can see the breach size. They are intentionally oblong at the other end to ensure they stay positioned in the barrel. Once inserted they form to be concentric with the barrel and hold in place. There could have been an error in mfg as you said but the tight fit goes in the barrel.

I have better part of 1.5 cases through mine so far and yes you can feel the "recoil" it is nothing like the recoil of or even remotely close to a .22lr rifle. Honestly after pulling the trigger 3-4 times you forget all about it and after the 10th pull the sound of the marker is no longer noticeable. I really enjoy shooting the N3. If I was to have any gripe it is how easy it is to accidentally discharge. I am actually really happy there is a good trigger safety. I will get in better detail on some of the accidental discharges in my right up. I had no problem staying on target when rapid firing, most of my flyers I am putting down to the eggs and flats I was shooting more then anything else.

got my shipping notice 🥳🥳🥳🥳. The n3 shroud attachment looks absolutely sick, may have to spring for that when it's released.
The gun oil it uses, is it best to stick with the stuff nova sends with it or will any regular marker oil work with it?Last edited by ChillswitchEngage; 11-09-2022, 05:20 PM.
