Also, you can dip WAY into a tank at 90psi operating pressure. Well done.
Nostalgia aside, I'm pretty much in the same boat. I was skeptical as well, but after seeing all these recent updates I'm very intrigued.

The 90psi operating pressure is nice, but I also wonder how much these would weigh.

I wonder the same. Assuming there's no stainless components, would weigh less than a cocker or mag even if a bit bulkier.

Did not weigh the N3 but it is pretty light, but I also don't worry about weight all that much so take that for what it is worth. Definitely lighter then my Pyre (which is lighter then my Sniper) and definitely lighter then Classic Mag.

I’m not overly concerned with marker weight for speedball, but for scenario games (carrying extra stuff, more movement) it’s something I keep in mind.

It is hard to answer that. Honestly the trigger pull is very unique. I am playing saturday and need to do a video on both before i return them. I will make an effort to do that.

What’s the bore size on these? Also, it doesn’t appear there is any detent after looking at the videos, is that correct?

Uses a bore inserts,,, all sizes available..
The N3 does not have ball detents, it doesn't need them.. it does have a unique ball positioning detent in the bottom of the breech that aligns the ball perfectly centered and back ready for the barrel to enclose it and seal in the rear of the breech?

I started playing toward the end of Nova's so I only saw maybe 2 on the field in life. I like seeing different things coming out, diversity in the market is key to growth. It'll be interesting to see the price point but I would expecting $750 and up. It would also be cool to see a mag-fed version for FSR given the popularity of mag-fed right now.

I do not. N-1 was the supernova re-issue. basically only updated the barrel, reg and small changes to the spool.
N-3 many changes to the trigger mechanism, different spool design similar barrel design.

I forget if n-2 was the budget version or if that will be n-4. Sorry.

Ok, thanks. The other thread in the AirPower forum said the N4 was gonna be the rental and the N2 was the Dreadnaught.

N2 Dredd will be shown in Nov . its a inline spool bolt design and ultra low force. Its based off the work we did on our TMP design twenty years ago.....(yeah find that one it got buried fast only to reemerge as several other things uggg) the n4 is a entry level and rental gun with a really cool trigger design , a new barrel innovation and devastating firepower lol should be a cool everyday pb gun for econo players

Huge shoutout to superman. This is the richest information I have seen online about these yet.

I have to have one just for the weird as long as they are reasonably priced like it sounds.

Please keep us posted as you get more information. I love it.

Are you going to be a potential dealer for them?

I think prices will be fair for a USA build product,,, as for weird ? (and i take that as a compliment) its only weird because the status quo is staled and everything is indistinguishable... Mike and I abandoned the pb industry 10 12 years ago and there hasn't been a single new innovation since. When the mechs started returning and we noticed the e mek and the nova style trigger that is when we knew its time to return.. I think the market has allowed the manufacturer the rehash old tech with a new lipstick..... I cant tell to diff between anything , same shape same size same op system... Hell..... were still slaves to the ac barrel.. you think its weird now Wait for it , its coming! from our past tech to the future ... I just wish Mike Wood and I were a bigger company with more cnc machines this would go a lot faster....

Always wanted to try one out but never had the opportunity ... so definitely will pick one of the new one up (new or second hand is the only question 😁)

I still would like to pick up a n ET or dark-star one of those days ... Even a project one ...

Fieldmarshal take it 100% as a compliment. Weird in a good way. The articulating barrel alone is weird to me, and these have a few key characteristics that further set the divide.

It sets the nova line apart from everything else currently being churned out. That's why you guys will get my business.

Yup, the sound is a little weird, the reciprocating barrel feels a little weird but once you pull the trigger 5-10 times watching your balls go down range that all fades to the background and you just get into playing. To me that is the most important thing is the ability to just use a marker without thinking about it anymore, basically just an extension of you. I will be buying one for sure most likely the N3 but now I'm curious about the forthcoming N2.

Hopper hits don't count where i play. Below the elbow and below the knee don't either.
I was asked to shoot the n-1 as it is coming up to be released first from my understanding. I do like shooting the n-1 though. I like the trigger pull more than the n-3 personally.

I have pretty much run strictly field grade paint through them. I did run a couple bags of social midgrade through them a couple weeks ago. Personally i have more issues when i go with higher grade paint with my rotor so i tend to like a thicker shell even if that means i have to shoot someone more than once.

One more question the N1 seems like a rebuilt and fixed Airstar Nova 700 where the N3 seems like a new marker. I am sure that there is like no way for anyone to answer this but if i have a Nova 700 and am in the process of rebuilding it would i be better off getting the N3?

N-1 is a slightly updated version of the "super nova" wich was released after the 700.
If you are looking for something different then maybe the n-3 is the way you want to go.

What were some of the common problems, short and long term, with the original Novas and do these new models rectify (or solve some of) them?

The majority of the original nova problems were regulator related. They have gone with a completly different regulator for these. Aside from that there weren't too many issues aside from unique oring sizes. It would not surprise me if Nova offered oring kits in the future ( I haven't talked to Chris about that but he is already making the n-1 so i suspect most of them are in stock).
