I'm not a fan of the Telos plates either. Unpolished steel isn't that smooth. I don't understand; we figured out that chrome plating trigger plates was the best way to go back in the late 90s, now everyone seems to have forgotten.

Nobody forgot it's that chrome plating became very expensive due to the EPA stepping in and regulating a lot of the chemicals used in electro plating.

Release the REPROCHROME!

When I got interested in plating I scratched working with chrome super early on. Seemed like a ton of work especially if one is working out of their garage.

It took a while, but ANS Gear has them in stock.

There's some shenanigans happening here. I ordered a couple of these in separate orders. I just got an email that the ones I ordered have been switched to pre-order. Looks like the site's been updated to pre-order now too.
Did any of you that ordered one have yours shipped out?My Old Feedback (300+) https://web.archive.org/web/20180112...-feedback.html

Some speculation here:
ANS was obviously selling frames they never had in hand. I kinda doubt they're actually coordinating this with Freeflow. I bet they'e just allowing orders and hoping for the best. I mean, at this point they must have sold hundreds of these frames (and still selling), yet the delivery estimate is still July 2022. There's no way Freeflow is actually going to be able to deliver on that. Also, there's not a ton in this for Freeflow, and he has his own things he needs re-stocked on his site.
I think it's unlikely we actually get anything ;(
Hope I'm wrong.
Edit: apparently Dye is the manufacturer on the frames. That makes it more likely we'll actually get something in my opinion.Last edited by maggot; 07-02-2022, 04:19 PM.My Old Feedback (300+) https://web.archive.org/web/20180112...-feedback.html

I had one for a short period of time. I stuck with the Freeflow roller sear that came with it, but replaced the plate with a standard 2k+ chrome plate. Felt way better.
Or do you have an empty frame that you need to fill?

My frame is completely empty. I've been looking into different tipped glide screw and plates. I have a Shocktech plate on hand that I was going to try. I was considering an inception sear because DocFire is currently out of Shocktech's. Any recommendations?

ChuckLove that being the case, I'd recommend the roller sear from autocockerparts.com. They're cheap and frankly just as good as any of the name brand sears.
The shocktech plate will work just fine. I find them to be a little thin, but that's a pretty minor gripe. As for glide screws, I've always used polished brass tipped set screws. From what I understand, they're the lowest friction screws available.
