im sorry to hear that.
sadly its more common that people know.
alot of fields were never "owned" but leased due to the cost of buying land and having to make enough off paintball to make it work
some are owned property.
but even those if the economics so south have to sell the land.
we lost more than a few fields in IL due to this.
what is another challenge is when some local governments hear "paintball" they go nutz and will make it damn near impossible to get the "zoning" to have a field.
sad when one goes and kudos to those that actually make it work

What a bummer, especially after all the improvements that OX has made since taking over. I peaked at their FB and they posted that the town has given them until late March now, so perhaps a few more weekends to delay the inevitable.

Disappointing. I’ve only played there a few times but it was a cool field and location was great for the extended crew.

I know paintball is an afterthought for Roundtop but they sure like to be difficult about it. Decent fields, though

Goodbye OXL (Formerly Linglestown Paintball)
UPDATE: The new land owner has agreed to extend their lease. OXL IS STAYING OPEN!!!
I've learned today that OXL (formerly Linglestown Paintball) is permanently closing due to the town they're leasing the land from selling it for residential development. Their final weekend of operation will be on January 29th & 30th.
This news hits me pretty hard as this has been my home field for nearly thirty years. I played my first game there, I've met many great people there over the years, I've made many fond memories playing there, and Linglestown has played host to many of The Expandables' most popular events like Click Clack Bloop, Paintball 101, and more.
Goodbye, old friend.Last edited by JonM; 03-17-2022, 08:11 PM.Tags: None
