    15/4500 HK Army Aluminum Tank

A friend sent me this and at first I thought this has to be a joke, but apparently they're listed on HK Army's website..... kinda intrested in getting one. Kinda want to use that 130$ for anodizing money..... I guess I got a new item on my Christmas list this year.

Not entirely sure, definitely intrested in it specially at that price I use a 26ci 3k as my secondary tank, but a 15ci at 4.5k would suffice

I really want to know what certification this is under and what the hydro schedule is

Yes, but it looks like this one is all aluminum, not just because they imply it but it also has that telltale square bottom of all aluminum tanks.

Since it's a smaller volume, I wonder if they just kept the diameter small and increased the wall thickness by a small amount. But I'm also interested in what certification process they went through.

              7 ounces heavier than a 13/3k (+50%) - so it's quite obviously a heavier wall.

Good option to have out there!

The question for me, is this a 2" rule tank? I doubt it, but one can dream.

They have the circumference listed, and with some quick math it is 2.2” in diameter.

I don't remember if that's limited to 3k tanks or not

Being aluminum, these can be anodized right? I'd assume that I'd have to rehydro after anodizing regardless, what am I talking about, I don't need more shit to anodize

Man, this sums up my inner dialogue for so many purchases, if only I could get better at the last part where I talk myself out of it.

I question that listed figure. Maybe they just rounded up. I'm tempted to buy one just to get some calipers on it. I have use for it if its under 2in but if it's even a mm over it's kinda dead weight.

How are the HK Regs? Are they decent? I have zero experience with any HK products.

I could use a small tank for my X1A.

Maybe, but they've got the dimensions for the 13/3k right next to that and those are right at 2"

In my experience most HK stuff is designed to last 1 year. They expect the tourny try hards to replace it all after the current tournament season.

I'm sure the tank itself is fine, my worry would be the regulator as well. If you have a spare reg kicking around it might not be a bad idea to swap it

That is really weird though. They listed the circumference rather than the diameter and yeah your math checks out, I got 2.23 inches. So no 2 inch rule I guess.
