Am I the only one kinda missing that feature? It was kind of nice knowing who was local and could be hassled to come out and play, or get some added context/subtext to their posts, who to hit up if you're rolling into town...

I agree. I wish it was mandatory with registration. When a member asks a question or is selling something I always use to peak at there local, sometimes its important to the post. -
I like the feature myself, many times the location of the poster has a direct impact on how or if I will even respond. Knowing general location can be an easy filter on a location specific thread or when I'm selling things I'll get people who ask for a quote w/shipping for something but they neglect to tell me their address or zip and if I can just look and see they are from a general location I can give an approximate cost for them while the get me their actual address for a real quote.

There are only 2 locals on here that I actively interact with so that function wouldn't help me. I do like it when trying to figure out prelim shipping for BSTs.Comment
