Deadly Wind barrels are very easy to cut down, and or fix. I called them to ask if they could repair a 14" that I had purchased used. They said all they would do is wet sand the tip, and that every barrel they produce has had the tip wet sanded. They added that if I ever wanted to shorten the barrel, to simply saw off the desired length and wet sand. With high grit sand paper and water, the material is very very forgiving.
