I can appreciate sweetspotting the regulator yourself, but there is something to be said for simplicity and relying on proven results. I like the idea of setting the regulator to 325 psi (or so) and going from there. It is a known set point that should
work for the range of CCM guns. As well, once you know your specific gun's sweetspot, a reg tester will help you return to that point easily.
I will admit, I was a tad defeatist at the time, I would fiddle with it for a moment before putting it back in the gun bag. I will probably fine tune my S6 the old fashioned way, but check it with my reg tester once I get a replacement gauge. Might as well use both methods.
