i also used two really light springs instead of one hard spring. one on the pump rod and one on the guide rod because what i found is if you just have one with the rainman pump kit when you pump it tends to cock and causes binding. when i put two on it it seamed to keep the handle straighter during pumping. i also round the edges of the bolt alittle were the bolt "sear" on the hammer rides up to grab the bolt and that helped by leaps and bounds to smooth out the stroke
