I thought so too. The alternative is using a mobile app to control Octoprint, but this requires you to open ports in your router to allow outside control. I wasn't too kicked on this option since someone could theoretically gain control of the printer and crank up temperatures to dangerous levels. The Telegram bot is just as useful, a lot safer, but just not as feature rich.
