Keep in mind, none of these processes can yet produce the surface finish or tolerances of traditional machining. Especially bodies with internals and moving parts, you'll have just made an extremely expensive rough that will still require finish machining, defeating the purpose.

Don't expect to hold tolerances going from print>DIY mold>DIY casting, either. (shrinkage/warpage/surface finish)

(edit: added reasons why mold/cast isn't ideal either)
