Man! Just saw the eBay coupon for 20% off, went to Creality's eBay store, and the Ender 3 is out of stock!

JonM... It took about 5 business days to go from China to ISC New York for my printer. This doesn't include the weekend in the middle of the time frame.

My unit is currently sitting at ISC New York and has been there since 1:37 pm on June 5 so expect to have it sit in customs for at least 3 days

Any information is better than none

I will update things once the printer comes out of customs.

Funny part is I will be helping to build a fire pit/swing pergola thing this weekend, and when the heat/bugs get to be too much, I will be headed indoors to work on wiring a 3d printer. (My soldering skills are dope )

Customs can be a little random. It's hard to tell when they have plenty of inspectors and check things through quickly and, more commonly, are short of inspectors and then pick-and-choose what to check or make it wait. I've seen the exact same items blow through customs in a day and the next order take more than a week.

The "nice" part of the slow boat from China is that it moves on weekends.

Ordering anything directly from China is an exercise in patience. I simply must remember my mantra... It will get here, eventually.

This is just information for JonM, as he has the same unit coming and in a same time frame as mine.

Hopefully my soldering skills won't be required. Then again, you never know with these things if everything will be working as intended out of the box. Here's a simple & concise video on how to properly assemble it. Although, he didn't get into bed leveling or troubleshooting.

I'm a member of the Creality Ender-3 3D Printer User Group on Facebook. It looks like people have been having trouble with warped beds and filament getting caught on the Z-axis screw. People have been addressing the bed warping by printing on glass. There are filament guides available on Thingiverse. A handful of people have also reported issues with the extruder spring not being strong enough leading to underextruded prints. if this happens and you can't tighten it any more, some people have shimmed the spring. There's a model for this up on Thingiverse too if needed.

Here are a few more things to tidy up the wires or fix issues if needed.

Those thingiverse links are to some very useful parts. My plan was to create a few of those, but since others have done the work

Yep. No sense in reinventing the wheel. Then again, I may just pick up one of those chains for about $10 instead of printing it. It's one of those cases where the time and cost of 3D printing a part isn't as effective as buying a manufactured part.
